We had really high hopes. We were told that it would be a 45-60 minute wait for our party of 5, which was fine, and we waited in their outdoor seating area (“beer garden”) which had a window that opened to the bar so that we could order beer and apps. The beer is pretty fantastic! We had the Peppermint White Stout, Picnic On the Parkway - PB&J Brown Ale, Mel Electrum Honey Amber, and the Meadow Mist Hazy IPA. All were so good - you can’t go wrong. We also ordered the poblano white cheddar dip with pita chips and it was pretty solid as well. After waiting 90 minutes, we were finally seated - got a table by the bathroom, which was unfortunate, but at least we were sitting down after waiting for an hour and a half. We ordered our meal and it took another 45 minutes before we received it. And the food was really just OK and pricey ($17 for a plain cheeseburger). Our waitress was nice, but we rarely saw her. We didn’t get any refills on our drinks and it took about 10 minutes for us to get our bill processed. We were there a total of 3 hours by the time we paid the check and walked out. There are definitely a lot of other restaurants in the area to choose from. If you are just looking for really good beer and tasty apps then come and try them out.

Unfortunately our visit to the Blowing Rock Brewing Company was not a good experience. We were directed to seat ourselves at any of the picnic tables in the back, and it was drinks and appetizers only. The hostess advised we could order appetizers and drinks at the bar. Here's the kicker: About 5 minutes after we were seated and enjoying our drinks we were asked to leave our table as it was only for full-service customers. We were directed to get up and sit at a small bar stool and table section. We requested a menu but were told to scan a QR code and further disregarded. We intended on ordering appetizers but choose to take our business elsewhere due to the poor customer service we were provided. - Barely Chilled beer in plastic cups. - Rude service from wait staff. - Inattentive service. + The Chocolate Porter was decent.

2/15/2020 We went here for lunch and a flight of their cold beer. I ordered the Bison Burger with fries and my honey ordered the Ale House Burger with fries. For appetizer we ordered their baked soft pretzels (3) which came with their homemade cheese sauce and mustard. In my photo of the appetizer there is just one pretzel. Sorry, we were so hungry I forgot to snap a pic before we started eating!! The food was delicious! We were so hungry and this was exactly what we needed so we had the energy to walk around! The flight of beer ( 4 ) we ordered was High Country, Carolina Light, Bestie Westie, and Mellow Morning. The High Country and the Mellow Morning had the lightest taste and the High Country and Bestie Westie had a nice hoppy flavor!

Ate here on a Wednesday at lunchtime. We ordered 2 iced teas and the "Fish and Chips" lunch for $15 each. Iced teas were brought to the table in bottles...warm with a glass half full of ice each. At least they could have been chilled. The lunch arrived! Two pieces of frozen fish fillets (like you get at the Grocery store in the freezer section) on a bed of wilted arugula, with a half dead lemon slice and something that resembled home made potato chips. The fish and potatoes were burnt! I could not even stick my fork in the fish it was so hard and brown. Awful . The "chips", if that's what they were were a total fail. Hard and burnt. I don't know if the cook was trying to serve thinly sliced fried potatoes or make homemade chips. Couldn't tell. Either way it was a failure. Expected two pieces of fresh fish that had been breaded and deep fried, along with a form of french fries. This dish didn't resemble any fish and chips I have ever eaten...on both sides of the Atlantic. We would have sent both dishes back, but our waiter had another waitstaff member drop the plates in front of us and take off. Our waiter never returned to ask if our meals were okay, which is standard practice. We ate what we could of the meal, & covered it with a napkin. Finally our waiter shows up and asks "how it was". We were so angry we could not even speak. Got the bill and paid $43 including tax and tip for this travesty of a lunch. If I could give this place zero stars, I would. If they just want to serve beer, serve beer. If you want to serve food, please learn how to cook and serve it. Believe me, we...

As former Boone natives, we have always loved going to eat and hang out at Blowing Rock Brewing. We came to town for the weekend and decided to stop by for a quick (anticipated) dinner. Upon arrival, we were told the wait was around 30 minutes. No problem. Ended up waiting around an hour. Not a huge deal, for they offer beer while waiting and it seemed busier than normal. We were seated, the waiter took our order, and we waited. Then we waited and waited some more. After requesting several updates on the food, one of the appetizers did not come for an hour. We were informed at this point that another appetizer that was ordered was not available, which was then substituted. The second appetizer (3 mini soft pretzels) came out 30 minutes later. As we sat and waited for the main course for another 30 minutes, only 2 of the meals came to the table. One of which was an extremely raw burger. At the time we walked out around 3 hours total of waiting after watching people who were seated after us come and go, we had been served 2 appetizers, a raw burger, and a chicken sandwich. Two meals never arrived. Typically, I would be much less frustrated due to heavier guest flow, but it seemed that the cook staff may have been understaffed or ill equipped based on how long it took to prepare chicken wings and soft pretzels. We were also falsley given the timeframe of 5 - 15 minutes continuously, which was not the case. Overall, a very disappointing experience for a place that has not disappointed...

I have frequented Browning Rock Brewery for many years and I have to say that I go every time hoping for better than the last but the last several times I have been severely disappointed. We placed our name on the list and knew it was and hour wait so shopped around. After an hour we went back and saw that a picnic table was open so we took it and informed the hostess we would like it sit outside which she said was great she would send a waiter out. After 20 minutes, we went back to the hostess who stated “oh, we will check you off the list and send a waitress out”. Same hostess as earlier so she obviously didn’t check us off 20 min ago. We ordered beers and lunch which held us over for a bit but after another 45 min and the kids chicken tenders still had not come out we were done. I went to ask to speak with the manager and the hostess said she would send them out. After another 10 minutes without food or a manager I went back up and a waitress stated they told the manager but they were still upstairs in the office. We finally received the kids meals and cancelled and checked out. No meals for the adults. Most disappointed that the manager did not feel the importance of even coming and acknowledging the situation and at 2:30 not even prime time we could not manage a salad and burger. I will not be visiting this restaurant anytime in the near future as I feel that Blowing Rock has many out great establishments with far better food...
