Used to be cleaner and alot better organized. Went in and shopped here for about 35 min. Went to pay for my $13.76 worth of items with a $50 dollar bill on a monday afternoon at 3ish. and was told they could not give me $36.24 change for it and I needed to go get smaller bills to shop there. They did not have (1) $20.00 (1) 10.00 (1) $5.00 and (2) one dollar bills in the drawer? really? I had to leave the things I wanted to buy there on the counter. Wasted my time. Not a very good way to make the money that I wanted to spend. The elderly lady behind me walked out with nothing too after her basket rang up at $12.97 for a tiny woven basket. Cheaper at Hobby Lobby. Wouldn't it be better to make some money than none? Weird displays and walls and maze like walk arounds fill this cluttered store. Most of it is overpriced to make up for the "Sale" They should try to remember we do not "Need" their old used things, it is just a want and very easy to leave there. The DAV "Needs" the money. I get its just a thrift store but my time is of...
Read moreI really enjoyed this Red Racks over the Lee's Summit one due to there larger inventory but now I will no longer be coming back. I just got a pair of shoes and got them home and realized the zipper was broken on the boots and no way to fix it. Now it is my fault that I just tried one on loved it and didn't even look at the other to check for anything wrong since I thought they do those kind of things before placing products out for sale. I worked at a thrift store and that was my job was to make sure everything that went out was not broken. I called to ask if I could return the shoes before I drove back since I don't live in blue springs & I didn't have my receipt. She told me that would be fine we could try and look the reciept by the card name that you purchased it on. I go back to the store tried to return the shoes and the front desk lady said they don't take shoes back at all. I just wanted a store credit I was literally going to turn around and spend it that same day just so I could get something for my $10 I spent. Long story short they denied me any sort of refund. They have now lost all of my...
Read moreUnable to try on clothes and if they don’t fit good luck getting your money back. You must do a same day exchange. Prices are outrageous for a thrift store. This is a 501c4 organization, I can’t possibly see how this organization benefits the community, and honestly I’m doubtful about their intentions regarding disabled veterans, something tells me this is a cash cow for a few Individuals. I could be absolutely wrong and I truly hope so. I try to buy second hand clothes as a way to offset humanity’s compulsive buying trends and believe it is responsible; however they don’t treat customers like this is an organization trying to do good for the community, this is a business, not an organization. Why would you not allow a fellow community member to simply try on a shirt or pair of shorts to see if they fit? Because that would be an honest way of doing business. Keeping the cash and only allowing exchanges on good that are one of a kind is simply unrealistic and signals dishonest behavior. I will not shop here or at any red racks location again. Why buy second hand if it’s such a hassle? I’ll just...
