Our first trip to Boise was outstanding. Never been before but have heard so much about this wonderful little town. It did not disappoint.
But of all the places that we visited veterans memorial Park on 6th avenue I believe, was the closing stop to each day we were in Boise. Summer 2022 end of July was a smoker for heat in Boise up in the hundreds easily. We'd go to watering holes to cool off during the day but in the evening when the sun went down we always found ourselves at memorial Park sitting in the grass, enjoying the peace and quiet with kids playing on the swing set, it was just a great place to meditate and wind down after a hectic day taking in everything there was to take in.
