Paella Friday was super fun & tasty! We sat in an outside table under the shade of a tree awaiting our street pealla, eating small saucy meatballs with toasted buttery bread. So nice! Lovely free ice water with my brother getting his 'bubble' water, (not still) peligrino bottle. while we watched the last of the giant metal flat pan of pealla being stirred. It a flavorful main dish of rice with different seafoods and sausage and veggies included. The best bite has a bit of the socarrat, a crunchy bite of cooked rice from the bottom of the pan. Ours had thay along (with saffron) & a big shrimp, clam, mussel etc. This happens each Wednesday & Friday each week with the Basque community. Not to be missed, at least...
Read moreWe loved the old historical town with a multitude of restaurants and shopping stores. Ate breakfast at Goldy's Restaurant who specializes in breakfast and lunch. It was very crowded and had a balcony eating area. The restaurant building is over a hundred years old and the bathrooms were only accessible by stairs with small hallways and doors.
