Myself and 5 friends chose Bittercreek Alehouse to celebrate a birthday. We made reservations and arrived on time. First, they couldn’t find out reservation, even though we showed them a text message confirmation we received. This wasn’t a huge problem, as we were sat within 30 minutes. We received our first round of drinks in a timely manner and our server took our order and was very pleasant. When our appetizers came out, about 35 minutes after we ordered, we found some of them were good but our wings were completely over cooked. So much so that, I couldn’t tell the difference between bone and meat. We were starving and ate them anyways, but did mention that they were over cooked to the server. She didn’t check on us until our appetizers were gone. Then… We waited and waited and waited for our food. The server did not come to our table to update us. We finally wrangled her over to our table and asked for an update on our food, as we had been waiting 2 hours from the time we were sat. She assured us that our order would be up soon. No apology . However, we waited 10 more minutes and she returned to our table to inform us it would be about 10-15 more minutes for our food. We asked her to cancel our order and give us our checks. She tried to convince us to instead get boxes for our food and take it to go. We politely declined and asked to talk to a manager. Again, no apology and we were returned with some attitude. Another 10 minutes passed and a woman approached our table, did not introduce herself, was not apologetic and abruptly said “I want to make sure that I am understanding correctly that you do not want your food because it is on the line being prepared.” We informed her we had been waiting 2.5+ hours and we had to return home to our children to relieve our babysitters. No apology! She just said ok and walked away. We waited another 15 minutes for expectantly for our checks. The server returned and asked if we were going to wait for our food or leave! We told her we talked to what we assumed was her manager and apparently her manager didn’t bother to update her! The server then spent another 20 minutes trying to fix our check by removing the food we didn’t ever receive. She wasn’t able to separate our checks but by this point we didn’t even care, we just wanted to leave. This was the worst experience I have had in a restaurant. We were never given an apology and they didn’t offer anything to make it right. And we still tipped 20% because, well that’s just what we do. I will...

Edit: 07/13/25
After being a regular customer for years, today my family and I had a horrible experience with our server Dylan. Two members in my party had their appetizer accidentally sent to the wrong table and it wasn’t caught until our main dishes were brought out, and we noticed the appetizer hadn’t come out yet. The appetizer was quickly brought out, however there was jalapeños in my party member’s Classic Poutine (which are not supposed to be in there). We wanted to send it back to the kitchen so it could be fixed, however our server didn’t come back to the table after our main dishes were brought out. So overall it was a slightly disappointing experience, but it could have definitely been looked over as it was a busy Sunday. The main issue was after we had paid and left the restaurant, our server Dylan ran out and caught one of my party members out in the patio area to ask why they didn’t leave a tip (we had two separate checks which we tipped 18% on one, and the ticket with the delayed appetizer and poutine made incorrectly, my party members didn’t add a tip). My party member explained the issues we had and why they opted out to add a tip, and very rudely Dylan asked why we didn’t tell him our issues, which we would have, but Dylan didn’t stop by our table after the main dishes were brought out so we weren’t given the chance to have the issues corrected. Dylan then ranted and made a scene about he only makes $3.00 an hour and he has to tip out the bar, so he lost money on our table. It was absolutely deplorable and humiliating to have a server chase down my party member and make a scene in front of all the other patrons in the patio area, all for not leaving an OPTIONAL tip. Again we could have overlooked the issues we had today as it was busy, but to be chased down outside of the restaurant and cornered for not leaving an optional tip was...
Read moreMy experience at Bittercreek Alehouse. I took my adult family of five. We are a burger family. I ordered a regular beer a (Heff). Due to some of the other were to expensive (not paying 25 + for a beer.). About 35 mins. After ordering we received our food...We'll I'm not a food critic, but I know what food tastes like. I had 57 years of practice. We expected the fries not to be great, because the waitress told us they don't get crispy because they have a high efficiency system, and can't even put them in twice as limp and dehydrated. So they come out limp, and alittle dehydrated as expected, but they were warm. My burger the huntsman cold as a door knob, basically raw and refrigerator cold. Really to the touch cold not even slightly warm. The cheese not even melted at all and cold. The wife the same on her lamb burger which is suppose to be a little pink...but not red. And my burger was redder than hers. The wife asked if they could cook it little longer the waitress said they can't and that they would have to cook another one and would be another 15 to 20 mins of wait time. I could not even eat mine. It was basically raw, cold. I wish I cold send a picture here that I did take. And I paid due to my kids had fish and chips over cooked but they did eat them. Left a tip for the waitress, she was nice. But I did tell her she was great, but the food horrible. If it was just me and the wife we would have paid for the beer and tip. But nothing else. The food was the worst food I have had in a long time, and the worst burger I have probably ever been served. It topped the route 66 restaurant in Orlando Florida in its Hispanic decore boosting to be a famous BBQ restaurant that served me a dehydrated hockey puck. Really the size of a hockey puck. My daughter said she felt sorry for...
