Rocket Fizz Bossier City — Attraction in Bossier City

First the good: The experience is the store is almost fun. Maybe they get busy at night or on the weekends and get a vibe going. On a weekday it was dead -- but still a walk down memory lane. Now for the not-so-good: I could not decide what to buy, so I opted for a "grab bag" they had, thinking it would be fun to open and get surprised with the contents. Well, I was pretty surprised. I would have called it a garbage bag. At retail it might have equalled for exceeded what I paid for the bag, but I doubt it. For one, the bottom of the bag was littered with a handful of their taffy. They aren't awful BUT -- If you don't know what flavor it is (and in this scenario you won't) it's rolling the dice each time you try one, wondering what you're putting in your mouth. AND one was rock hard, when it broke in my mouth I thought it was pieces of broken tooth at first... PLUS ------ EVERY ITEM WITH A "BEST BUY" DATE WAS AFTER IT'S EXPIRATION DATE!!! THEY MADE THIS A SPECIAL TO GET RID OF THEIR OUT OF DATE CANDY! I was tempted to take it back. Tempted to not write a review, but now having been disappointed with every piece of candy from the bag I feel it's my duty to let you good people know: CHECK EXPIRATION DATES AND BY GOD DO NOT BUY...

The employees were extremely helpful and nice. It's a very fun atmosphere and they have lots of different varieties of unique sodas and candies. The reason why I gave it a four star review instead of a five-star review is because of their gift card situation. I received a $20 gift card for Christmas and I went in to redeem that card and, apparently, you cannot spend over that gift card amount on the same transaction. It seems to me like the proprietor would want to figure out how to make a gift card transaction much easier for their employees and customers. We were up there trying to get as much as we could on the $20 gift card without going over and it was taking a lot of time and creating a long line. That being said, this place is awesome if you like to have fun and occasionally buy junk food but, at this point, I wouldn't purchase a gift card here until they get this fixed. Just give someone cash as a gift and put a sticky note on it saying that this is for...

I was shopping around mainly for gimmick soda as I'm not super into candy anymore, but I found a couple of pieces I wanted to try from the bins. I didn't wanna buy a whole 8$ bag (not sure if they sell individually) so I was carrying them around and at some point I slipped them in my pocket. My hands were sweaty and I didn't wanna death grip 2 werthers. To be fair in retrospect I almost certainly would've forgotten them but I do wish they would've simply rung me up for them and let me give them my business rather than aggressively banning me from the store. I understand the business you've got, and I understand how I look, I clearly acted overly casual. But damn was that startling and humiliating. How do you even explain yourself at that point?
