Update to my previous review from 4 years ago. Visited the lounge in Aug 23 late afternoon prior to boarding flight to London. It has changed a bit and improved over my last visit. There's now a comprehensive cocktail list and the two bar tenders were quick at preparing and serving. Tables have QR codes where you log in and can order food and drinks to your table. The only negative thing was due to new construction at the airport, the view if the city is now obstructed and you are now overlooking some bland metallic structures.
My review from 2019: Excellent views over downtown Boston. Poor bar tender service, no cocktail menu, barman was pretty unfriendly. Unable to mix your own drinks, you have to rely on the unhelpful barman. Staff seem to be happy to chat amongst themselves and ignore guests. Very good food menu and chefs friendly and approachable. Has the potential to be an excellent lounge if staff were managed and...
Read moreA really nice lounge which is open all afternoon. Thereâs lots of seating, including options for relaxing, dining and at the bar, with lots having great views through the large windows. The selection of drinks is wide and varied as youâd expect from a BA lounge but the choice of food is equally as impressive - a range of hot items and lots of snacks, fruit and salad, all of which is continually kept topped up. Thereâs a section cordoned off as Concorde Dining if you have access, which is great with the views and more relaxed vibe during busy times.
The bathrooms are clean and modern and despite not being massive seem to cope with the number of guests well. All the staff are friendly and theyâre quick at clearing away empty plates and glasses. Thereâs plenty of charging sockets at most of the seats too which is great.
Overall a great lounge and a delight to use before any flight, making the airport even more of a delight to...
Read moreBA has at least 5 lounges in Terminal 5: three Terraces lounges for business class customers and equivalent elites, the Concorde lounge for first class only, and the first class lounge which mainly has top tier elite customers. I have been to all of them.
This time, I went to the business class lounge on the South side of the main terminal. This is the largest lounge with lots of space for quiet or TV or whatever.
I found a quiet spot and settled in to do some emails. Some folks were sleeping on couches in the theater area. Good! Nice that they have a place to nap.
Food was changing over from breakfast to lunch so it was a bit sparse but there was enough. Quality was decent with a hot and cold buffet. Many options! Not amazing quality but decent. What do you expect for business class? That's middle class so the food is middle...
