Let me start off by saying that if you are at Logan heading to Terminal E right now, deciding on food choices; there ARE other Restaurants beyond this place. Keep walking!!
I was about to board a flight a couple of weeks ago. Yes, I was rushing to get real food before my flight to Rome. I ordered the Salmon. When it arrived it was seemingly raw. I stated that I was not aware that it wasn't cooked thoroughly. I told the Server eye to eye, I'm sorry, I didn't realize the Salmon wouldn't be cooked. Can you please throw the Salmon on the Grill for like 10 seconds on each side? I don't eat raw fish and don't have time to look at the Menu again and re-order. He took the untouched order right back and agreed. Of course, he said..... Ok....
Minutes later he brought the order back, the bag was tied to go. As I approached him, he tied the bag, again. I decided to open the bag. When he saw me opening the bag, he broke eye contact with me and quickly walked in the back.
Strange. I opened the bag and looked, my sandwich was burnt. A few pieces of salmon around the edges were kind of cooked. I'm like, this looks horrible. He literally had the Audacity to say to me, looking away, "Oh, I thought you wanted me to just toast the bread"... Like what?! What ?! I said to him as clear as day, Please throw the Salmon on the grill. I followed that up with, "I don't eat raw fish_... Like 5 mins prior.
Now I know why the bag was double tied and why he walked away so suddenly when he saw me opening the bag.
Really egregious behavior!! He saw that I was rushing. THEN.. when the pay machine was handed to me, I noticed that he moved the dial to add a TIP for himself. I had NO TIME to even address this, ANY of it. I had to board my flight. This type of sneaky behavior is unacceptable. Seriously if you didn't want to ask the chef to cook the friggin food, just say so. It's so insulting and sneaky! And then moving the dial to give yourself a TIP because you know that I'm in a hurry?!!! SKIP this place! Give your money to reputable establishments.
In other News, the sandwich...
Read moreWhile the food was fairly well prepared and the prices and portions were as I would have expected of most overpriced airport restaurants…the service was AWFUL. As a young solo traveler, I was repeatedly ignored and brushed off by my server as I watched him give very good service to the other tables around me. Several tables with older patrons or couples/families received a positive attitude and kind service via recommendations, patience, and attentiveness from the server. Meanwhile I waited upwards of 15 minutes just to be acknowledged by my server. When I ordered a second portion of the clam chowder, I watched him go around several other tables before ringing in my order. Then I had to ask for the check twice while other tables who asked after me were paid attention to first.
I never ever leave reviews but was so frustrated by the time I finished my meal and paid that this felt necessary. This felt targeted perhaps at me being a young female travelling alone, but maybe the service...

After about 10 mins of sitting, I was asked for my drink order and later came the coffee. Black with no cream or sugar provided. I waited for 20 more mins then eventually requested cream and to take my order - despite the guy next to me arriving later than me and already receiving his food. My order eventually came and was missing the side I requested, and after another 5 mins, I had to request utensils (everyone next to me experienced the same issue and had to request utensils after their food sat there).
Drinks along the bar remained empty throughout the time I was there and service was just slow and/or non existent. I could go on and again, it's an airport, but...
