I want to give a huge shoutout to Shane from the Delta Sky Club in Boston. Before my international flight, I was eating in the Delta One lounge and accidentally left my phone behind. I didn’t realize it until I was already on the plane, and when I asked the flight attendants for help, they weren’t very proactive or helpful in trying to get in touch with the gate. At that point, I figured my phone was gone.
Then, just when I thought all hope was lost, Shane came running down the jet bridge, literally out of breath after sprinting a long way from the Sky Club with my phone in hand. He went so far out of his way to make sure it got back to me - this is what you call world class service.
Employees like him represent the very best that Delta has to offer. To the Delta leadership team: you are incredibly lucky to have someone as dedicated and customercentric like Shane in your organization. To Shane - keep up the outstanding work, I hope this makes it to the leadership team and they recognize the difference you made in my experience. I will also be writing an email to Delta corporate for further recognition. Again, thank...
Read moreAs a pretty frequent traveler, I have spent a significant amount of time in lounges. I am originally from the area and as a result, I frequently travel through Boston Logan international.
Yesterday's experience with the lounge was one of the most disappointing and degrading experiences I've had. I have never met ruder staff and people that acted so elitist there. I hope that Pat and Azeddine, improve their customer service skills or change careers.
The way that you make people feel resignations and they made myself and the person I was traveling with feel was inferior and devalued. Saying things like " As I've said for the fourth time", when asking if I could borrow a pen, " (pens) were unavailable". Furthermore, with another coworkers they spoke in another language,Spanish, amongst themselves. Not realizing that we were fluent. Don't let looks fool you. I just wanted say thank you for a reminder of how NOT to treat people. There are better ways of delivering a message with respect and kindness.
Furthermore, this makes me question if I want to travel with...

Heathrow's Virgin Lounge is hard to top, but I'd say Delta's refurbished Terminal E Sky Lounge at Logan is about as good. An expansive space with lofty ceilings, bright natural light coming from both sides, and a preposterous variety of comfortable seating, power sockets everywhere, and strong wifi, this lounge is a superior space to spend a few hours. An enormous variety of foods including sandwiches, soups, chowder and other hot mains are joined by a fantastic selection of salads, cheeses, charcuterie, snacks, Starbucks coffee and beverages. They have a solid open bar menu, and an elevated "pay" bar menu, but the Bordeaux they had on the free menu was absolutely perfect. The staff is also very friendly and constantly scan the areas for dirty dishes and removes them quickly. But you don't even notice them. Ninja skills. This lounge serves as a wake up call for all other lounges to step...
