I just had a really unpleasant experience at the drive thru this morning. I’ve been to this establishment many many times. While the relative kindness and attentiveness of the staff varies, it’s never been this awful. The barista opened the window gave me a judging glance and said ‘You do know that almond milk and he is one of the biggest carbon footprints…’ while she abruptly and forcefully finished my drink filled with hemp milk -they had no almond milk in stock) over americano -which she put in the mug I had brought with me. I had to interrupt her because her rudeness and negative energy were so scathing. I said I’m sorry I’m on a phone call and she slammed the window, huffed and turned around. I could go on about all the ways my family and I work to conserve, reduce our Carbon foot print, try for zero waste. We aren’t perfect but we are aware, trying, learning. Read moreRude. I came in one evening to grab a coffee and a snack. I walked in and waited at the register, I was greeted with a, 'what do you want?' I ordered a large light roast coffee, a half priced turkey sandwich, and a slice of chocolate zucchini bread. I was told $14 and change, I paid and began to wait for my coffee, I started looking at the menu and saw I was overcharged. I brought it to the attention of the person making my coffee, by asking, 'how did my order come to 14 bucks?', he responded 'a pour over cost more.' I then asked for my receipt, he printed it, then said he made a mistake and gave me the money back for the sandwich as well as, 'a bit extra.' I have no idea what that even meant, 'a bit extra.' Read moreWent in 5 minutes before closing this evening and received attitude from the baristas. The open sign was also turned off before closing. I walked out and did not buy a coffee. I don't want food or drink served to me that has that spiteful attitude served alongside with it. I have loved Brewing Market for 10 plus years and this was disappointing. Leaving 5 stars because I love Brewing Market and have made many good memories here, along with knowing so many awesome people that have worked there, and I just want to let the owner know about this incident in the hopes they can speak to the employees there this evening about being more welcoming.
