I had a fantastic time with my kids at the park in Boulder, featuring a unique rocket tower for climbing. This one-of-a-kind attraction added an exciting twist to our visit. The park itself is newly renovated, offering a fresh and inviting environment for children to explore and play.
One of the standout features is the rocket tower, which immediately captured my kids' imaginations. They couldn't wait to climb it and pretend they were astronauts on an adventure to the stars. The tower is not only a fun play structure but also an excellent way for kids to build strength and coordination.
Besides the rocket tower, the park boasts a range of modern play equipment that kept my children entertained for hours. From swings to slides and interactive play areas, there was something for kids of all ages to enjoy.
What makes this park even more appealing is its location next to a beautiful green space. It's the perfect spot for a picnic, a game of frisbee, or simply lounging in the shade while watching your children play. The proximity to a swimming pool next door is another bonus, making it easy to cool off on hot summer days.
Overall, this kids' park in Boulder is a must-visit for families. The combination of the original rocket tower, new playground equipment, nearby green space, and a swimming pool next door creates a delightful and memorable experience for kids and parents alike. It's become a go-to spot for my family whenever we're visiting their...
Read moreFor a place that used to be a dump, there a great hill which is used during the Winter snow days as a sled zone. The park is named after astronaut Scott Carpenter, and there is a rocket ship in memoriam of his life here in the City of Boulder.
The pool is currently being rebuilt, so parking is extremely limited for the moment, for your information.
The park is quite safe, with "transients" (state trooper name for homeless pop.) keeping to themselves at the picnic benches and on the East fields. Watch out taking the BIKE PATH which is cramped especially at the Mountain/Creek-facing corner! This corner, which appears deceivingly as a footpath to both tourists and the elderly alike, is in fact part of a Bike Path! Unless you want to get creamed at 20 mph I suggest taking the dirt path (adjacent, will upload pics soon) or finding another route! The ambulances have blocked this path on more than one occasion whilst...
Read moreThis is such a great park for all ages and all seasons. After the remodel on the adjacent pool, the parking lot, etc., it's more accessible and very enjoyable. The playground is lots of fun and good for all ages, the swings are classic, and that iconic rocket is just fabulous to play in and admire. Lovely trees, a nice area to enjoy the creek, and during the winter this is the best sledding hill (you can do a waterslide in the summer too, but the pool has a better version). Very good for kids, but also it's a great place to work on homework and the like! Close to a shopping center and froyo (Shout out to Ripple), and the bus stop drops off directly here. The underpass is great for not crossing 30th's traffic.
Please go enjoy, and bring...
