Had some friends visit from out of town and we thought this would be a fun experience. I found this company, viewed their website and decided on them because their website mentioned they have a shuttle service to take us from the shop to the water.
After driving out there, we are told there is no shuttle anymore. Ok...so how are we supposed to drive 5 people and 5 tubes to the water? One employee says he can give us a ride, but only if it's a fat tip. OK sounds good, I guess if that's our only option we'll do that. He says well it would have to be a really fat tip. Ok...sounds good! Second thought he won't be able to drive us out there, never mind.
We then get two rafts tied to the rack on one of my friend's vehicle, and the other 3 are deflated in the vehicle with us. He tied some twine very loosely on the top and asked "is there uhh anything else you need, because to be honest I'm uhhh still pretty hung over from last night." Seriously? We had to drive to a gas station to use an air machine and drive the last stretch to the water with blown up tubes hanging out the window through our arms. OK whatever, it is what it is.
Here's my "fat tip" for the employees. Update your f*g website and don't show up to work hung over...

Granted, Boulder Creek was closed due to dangerous waters and we were sent to a different creek. Is that why we had to inflate our own tubes? We had a pick up truck, we should have insisted that they blow up all the tubes. They gave us the portable inflating machine that you plug into your car, but it took FOREVER to blow up three tubes, almost an hour. They told us 2-5 min PER tube. Not only that, we had to walk back to our car, they said about 20 min, but it was more like 30, hauling all our equipment, in hot weather and we were attacked by swarms of mosquitoes. In hindsight, I wished we had brought mosquito repellent - we didn't think it would be an issue. Next time we go tubing, we will make sure to go with a company that will give us inflated tubes, take us to the drop off point, pick us all up at the end and bring us back...
Read moreWe got all signed up super easy and purchases the shuttle service to drop us off. It took almost an hour for the service to take us. When we got in they were going to put 2 extra people without seat belts in the shuttle(suv) but they ran out of rafts so they got out. Then it broke down half way there. We got a jump and there was no ac the rest of the way. We finally arrived and one raft was flat. The shuttle driver called the owner and they said I'll call you back, he kept calling the owner and they didn't rush or even answer his phone calls after 20 minutes. He said they ran out of rafts and we banking on a return shortly. So they basically sold more rafts than they had so we had to just wait. After about an hour the guy finally showed up with our raft. When we finished the owner asked us how it was and we told her how it was pretty bad getting there and took forever. She said, "oh, sorry."...
