I never ate at Panda Express before, but I had a great coupon if I ordered online. I ordered online for this restaurant. As the e-mail directed me, I went straight to the pickup sign. The server was busy with another customer and looked at me as if I went to the wrong place. I mentioned I'm picking up my online order. She checked the printer at the register and there were perhaps 6 orders hanging from it. She asked the cook if she prepared anything, she hadn't. Not a big deal since I was a few minutes late so I'll get hot food.
Turns out, they are out of what I ordered, so I had to figure out something different.
When I arrived back at work to eat, I saw one egg roll in my order. I ordered a small chicken egg roll and expected two based on the website menu. I checked the website again and now realize that there is one egg roll cut in half, which I took as two.
Finally I did not get the rice I ordered. I ended up with white rice instead of fried rice (clearly no vegetables in it).
Summary: online ordering does not work as the order is not prepared and inventory changes (in the morning before lunch), web site is misleading or not clear, and servers do not pay attention or dish the correct order.
I rate 3 stars because the server was alone and friendly/courteous and food was decent. However this online deal used to promote the restaurant chain instead convinced me it's not worth it. And the dining room only had two other people, so I can't imagine it was busy.
BTW: my family used the same limited time deal at a different location in another town, with an online order 3 hours ahead of the scheduled pick up and they were out of food as well. Might as well order whatever they have...
Read moreDo not go in after 9 o'clock expecting what you want available to eat 20 minutes before closing only thing available sweet-and-sour chicken I wouldn't make anything else except for chameleon and stated the reason was we don't throw away any food which tells me this company is so cheap that they will Not have the food you want when you go in and then give you a bogus statement I've never ever had a restaurant do that to me other than the panda expresses nationwide I went to Chipotle road right after leaving panda and Chipotle was dropping a new bin of hot steak and everything was full A proper customer experience Panda Express doesn't throw away food not because they're equal friendlier whatever it affects their bottom dollar and there's that cheap Do not even have Is half normal Size preparations Instead of default preparations during normal hours Yes none of us want Today's leftover Chinese tomorrow but you unfortunately have to have Cooked foods that have to go in the garbage I worked at a Chinese restaurant when I was 15 as a fish washer and and you don't know how many times the 50 gallon garbage bag was so full it wasn't funny and this was a premium Chinese restaurant in Chicago land suburbs area And it wasn't because they just had so much stock people would order it And not finish it because the main serving platter was pretty big and it was a very rich town so they didn't care about waste so Panda should have at least 5 pounds of garbage food We're not shopping there cause they're Eco friendly we're shopping there because there's supposed to be X...
Read moreAwesome location. The server Imanol was personable, polite, and curious. He even offered more fresh Chow Mein if I wanted to wait 5 minutes, but there was enough for my two dinners so I passed. The manager walked by while assessing the line so we attempted to joke with her, but she was in the zone and shot us the look that said, keep it up and I'll knock your heads together. It's obvious she has experience with brothers, children, or employees cause she was on to us.
I eat at Panda Express an average of three or four times a week as I travel the front range from Fort Collins to Pueblo every day managing projects. I'm burnt out on cold burgers and fries, burritos, and convenience store junk food and paying $15.00 or more for it. Panda Express serves Hot Nutritious food that fills me up without leaving me tired and sluggish. It is done at a fair price for two entrées and a side.
Every restaurant has a slightly different personality and air about it. This comes from the managers that strive to provide a product and service that they are proud to offer their customers while they lead a team of workers learning basic job skills, work ethic, and customer service.
This Panda Express is as good as every other one I visit, but it has something extra, a team that strives for excellence in the food they offer and in the customer service they provide.
For a change from the mundane, check this place out. Hot Nutritious Food for the same price as the cold burger and fries....
