Usually, I roll my eyes when a restaurant touts its "local ingredients" and free-range animal proteins. I admittedly came in skeptical. I was thinking, "Great, some Uber liberal, super green hippie establishment that is going to shove an unseasoned, dry, sad piece of burger in my face that tastes like cardboard and broken dreams." Boy, I was pleasantly wrong as hell! This place, however, far surpassed any expectations that I had. From the beef to the pickle to the bun, everything was top-notch. The beef was perfectly seasoned. The vegetables were crisp and farm fresh. I grew up with a grandmother who lived in the country and grew her own vegetables, I can't be fooled by the "farm fresh, organic" gimmick that most places employ. This place was legit! And I had just had my first In-and-Out experience the previous night. This piece of burger made me hate every burger joint by the time that I was done with the first glorious bite! It was juicy. Slightly, pleasantly greasy. The seasoning punched my tastebuds in their taint. The cheese was magnificently melty and gooey. The bun was a heavenly cloud of taste and utilitarianism. It held all of the magnificence together in a transcendent package that makes Carl, Wendy, Ronald, the King, and those other 5 Dudes weep in remorseful ineptitude.
I haven't even started on the fries. ....Oh gods, THE FRIES! Why can't I live closer to the fries? Cooked in beef tallow? WHAT? It should not be legal for fries to be this delicious. Who cares about carbs. If you would choose not to consume those fries because you are "carb conscious," then I am deeply sorry for you and the lack of joy in your life. Going through life without these fries is like never having heard the laughter of children or your father telling you that he is proud of you. If you grew up a disappointment to your parents, if you are a criminal whose past crimes weigh heavily upon you, if you are an unlovable wretch, void of compassion and empathy, eat here. It can't erase your past sins or you being a failure at life, but it certainly can make you forget about all of that and help the rest of your life be...
Read moreMy brother keeps telling me that Wild Pastures has the best burgers and fries in the whole region and being pretty unimpressed by the competition, I finally stopped in here to grab some takeout burgers, fries, and the famous fried jalapeños. The first thing I noticed was that the restaurant was clean and had a nice vibe to it. The younger gentleman who helped at the register was super friendly and knowledgeable about their products. He was the perfect “hype man” and after a moment speaking with him, he actually had me more interested in their food than when I first walked in. I briefly interacted with another gentleman, who I think was cooking and might have been a manager, who was also friendly and professional. After a short wait, my food was ready - piping hot and it smelled delicious all the way home. The burgers are substantial and very well put together, and one glance showed that the ingredients are good quality and that they prepare their food with care. The fries and the jalapeños were perfectly cooked, as well. The jalapeños actually had as close to a perfect batter as I remember around here and for me, were the highlight of the meal. Unfortunately, both the burgers and the fries were very heavily salted. I like a good bit of salt on my food, but for some reason, our food was salted to an almost extreme level. I think maybe it was an oversight or something, as I don’t think they’d have the high rating they do if they always salt their food to the degree ours was. Because the restaurant is clearly otherwise good and because the burgers seem like they could be the best around with less salt, we are going to try again next week. They get 5 stars on every other...
Read moreI dined here with a friend on Friday the 7th of February 2025 around noon and as much as this being a new place we thought we would try it’s didn’t live up to being really any different in taste versus other burger places!
1.Ordered the double grass fed burger with no cheese but with all of the veggies. The burger itself was average for a burger really no real flavor to the meat itself Yes probably more healthier then other ground beef but who really knows cause ground beef is just basically the scraps of other cuts of beef mixed into one batch and grounded up! (Not impressed) I can do without! Nothing with a wow factor where I would go out of my way to dine here! $12.99 for the burger itself kinda expensive for ground beef meat
2.French fries cooked in Grass fed beef tallow well I thought I would give them a try as I don’t usually eat French fries in general! For $6.99 for the large order seems way to expensive for what they call the large French fries but ok (Are they organic potatoes?)
For $20 plus on a double burger with fries I don’t care if it’s cooked in so called beef tallow or grass fed meat! (Can you really taste the difference between Grass fed ground beef vs Regular ground beef at other burger places ? I would say NO! It’s just ground beef in the end! (Nothing Special Scraps)
Now the staff (lady who took my order) Just no personality to her at all looks like she isn’t happy taking orders but maybe she was grass fed that day!
Prime Location +Overhead Expenses +Employees = Expensive Ground Beef Burger In The End!...
