Twirl Dress Boutique — Attraction in Bountiful

I was really hoping for a great experience here after reading reviews and browsing through. Their online collection. I ended up having a very bad customer service experience instead. Ordered a dress online, then received a call that the dress would take 4 weeks to arrive. I said that’s fine since I was having family pictures taken in 6 weeks and that’s why I was purchasing a new item of clothing. 4 weeks came and went with no dress or update. Called on week 5 every single day. I just wanted to know if the dress would arrive in time for our family pictures or if I needed to find something else to wear. No one could tell me the status of the dress I ordered. They kept telling me the owner was the one who knew and would call me back in an hour or two. I watched the owner make Instagram videos all day, but she could not find time to call me back for 2 minutes to tell me if the dress would arrive in time or not. After a week of this, I physically went down to the store, to speak to someone. The salesgirl informed me that the owner went home early. And she, the salesgirl, couldn’t give me any information. I must have bothered them enough because I got an email that night at 11 pm, that did not provide any information, but merely said “Item refunded. Dress not available”. I now had 4 days to find a new dress for our family pictures. Thankfully I was able to do so from the amazing sexy modest boutique. 3 weeks later, I received in my mail the dress I ordered. I was confused since the email had stated it was refunded and unavailable. Despite everyone telling me I should just keep the dress because of my bad experience, I went down to the store to return it. Of course, the owner was not in. The salesgirl said she didn’t have any record of the dress being sent to me. She told me it was good of me to bring the dress back because then I “would be stealing”. She then asked me if I wanted to buy the dress. No. I did not. I was very disappointed and hoped I had found a local business to support that had cute clothing. I don’t think I will...

I was not impressed with this place at all. I'm sitting here reading all the other reviews questioning whether I visited the same shop or not. I was treated as an inconvenience from the moment I stepped in the door. The sales girl stayed behind the counter the whole time and didn't even bother to look up (from what I assume was her cell phone) when I walked in. She did muster up a really vague and unenthusiastic "Hi, welcome" at least. I asked if there were other sizes available in a couple styles and, again without looking up, she said everything available was out. When I asked for a fitting room, she pointed to the back.

I gave it a second chance recently and honestly don't remember if it was the same sales girl or not, but the reception was almost identical - I was treated like an inconvenience during the middle of the day.

They have some cute styles, but the price point is about the same (if not more) as Downeast, Bohme, or other larger corporate competitors. They don't carry a lot of large sizes and it definitely caters to the modest Mormon demographic.

In an era where online shopping is killing physical retail places, no store - especially a little, locally owned one- can afford to treat their customers like garbage. I won't be back and tell my friends and family to shop elsewhere where they'll be treated...

Twirl has been a life saver to me and so many of my friends! I recently decided to serve a mission and after just checking out options for clothing online, I was getting a very frustrated because it's very hard to find cute things that follow the missionary dress guidelines. I'm REALLY picky and I did not want to have to layer every single thing I got to make it modest. When I went into twirl I found over HALF my wardrobe for my mission in one stop! None of it has to be layered and it's all stinking cute and comfortable! That's gotta be a dream right? Then to make it even better, they also gave a great sister missionary discount! Now I just have to wait for them to get new shipments in to get the other half of my missionary wardrobe! ;) the good news is they get new stuff almost every week! They have all sorts of styles that I love, like boho, floral prints, and everything that is IN right now
