Read moregenerally speaking, I’ve had good experiences at Cal Ranch stores. That said, I came in and purchased one item a week ago. The price of the product at the register was five dollars more than the price of the item on the shelf. The employee basically shrugged and said there was nothing he could do about it. He probably couldn’t. He looked like a teenager who was arm wrestled into working early on a Saturday morning. When I took the item back for a refund, the cashier answered a phone call and stayed on the phone through the duration of the return process, maybe saying two or three words to me. Not the kind of customer experience I would expect from this chain. Very disappointed in this experience.
I’m mostly disappointed because a business should ask why items are being returned. And if it’s due to a poor customer experience, I would think a business would especially want to know that. What's the point of a loyalty program if they can't look up past purchases for returns? Return policy on their website says "please have the original receipt and/or credit card ready." Came in today for a return and even with the same credit card they would only do in-store credit minus sales tax. Beyond annoying.
Last week I found an item online that showed multiple in stock at the Bountiful location. I looked where I thought it would be in the store but couldn't find it. I asked an employee for help but he just shrugged and kept organizing clothes. Talked to employee at cash register but she said sorry there isn't a way in the system to find out where it is.
