I originally stopped by this local candy store last August, hoping they had the lemon sticks that I enjoyed as a child. I was told they carried them during the summer, however, I was inquiring too late in the season.
I stopped in again in May, asking if they had any in at that time and they said, not yet. I asked when they would be getting them in and the owner responded that they would be ordering them that same week. I ordered 3 bags and provided them with my contact information.
Several weeks later, after not hearing from them, I called the store and they told me they had come in earlier in the week.
The next Friday, when I went to pick up my order, after paying the parking meter, I saw that they did not open until 11AM. It was 1045, so I decided to wait until they opened. 11:05 came and there was no one there.
On my way home, I called and left a message for them to call when they arrived to I could plan another trip to the store. I was never called.
Today, I stopped by again and was greeted my a woman named Laurie. When I told her, I was there to pick up my order of lemon sticks, she looked confused and then told me I should be glad that Rachael was around.
She went into the back and after some time returned with the 3 bags of candy. Each contained 12 small lemon sticks and I was changed 9 dollars for each, totaling 27 dollars.
The next time I will order them online and save myself the time, money and...

The candy store has been open since 2015. You can find many old fashioned candies here that you can't find anywhere else. The Ice Cream Parlor is small and quaint with a 1940's feel. It features more than 16 flavors of Longacres ice cream and a variety of banana splits, sundaes, and soda pops. A friend took me out for ice cream for a birthday treat. I really enjoyed the peppermint flavor ice cream and my friend enjoyed peanut butter cream. We even played a intense game of ❤️❤️❤️ tic,tac toe. The servers were quite young so they were a bit shy to interact. This ice cream parlor is a very new addition to the Peppermint Stick Candy Store so in time, I'm sure they will loosen up and smile alittle more. They very polite and kind, We will be returning in the future as their...
