I joined the Moose AMI in October as I live on LBK and our friends took us as guests. We were excited to join. We had not been back because of work and traveling. Today I went for the first time with my best friend who was visiting. I got drinks at the bar twice before 4:30. The male and female bartenders were very helpful and friendly. I came back in front the patio to get another drink and I encountered one of the most rude people I have ever met. The new bartender Dean refused to give us a drink because I had to be with my husband. He said I was not a member even though we paid 60 dollars in October and I had a card with my husband’s name on it and showed my license. I was so upset and felt discriminated against. We were not told when we joined that I would have to have my husband with me to be served. The gentleman at the bar saw this happen and offered to buy us drinks as he felt bad for us but Dean said he couldn’t. I thanked that man and told him I was leaving as I was told I didn’t belong there. I am very upset and I hope that Dean will be given some training in customer service and gender equality. Read moreIts been awhile since my last visit here. I come up from North Port. First, I liked to say, Wow!!! The lodge renovations.. huge! Beautiful Job! Completely different from the long bar, which was cool!, But nothing like what you've Done!! Bravo! Today was a stormy day. Tropical Storm, Gloomy, Rainy, etc.., so i get the fact that people are kinda blah. That being said however, Your social Quarters workers could definitely stand to be a Lot more attentive to their work areas. All were very friendly!! No worries with that. But walking down a service area several times, on a very slow day, and not being aware of their customers, is an issue. Covid-19 protocols are not easy and we are all stressed. With things finally starting to get back to normal, this is the time to especially bring staff up to speed on the importance of every customer and every dollar. Family brought us here and though this is a not for profit organization I do not feel it is appropriate to have a paying customer get up from their family and go to the computer to put in their own order because the waitress can not find it. The waitress should ask someone else who is working there. This really interfered with our visit with family we have not seen in years. On top of that, my mom wanted a very simple apple martini. It was brought out to her in slushi form the first time... and the second time full of ice. This drink does not have ice as we told the bartender the first and second time. The third time, I went up there for my mom because she was too embarrassed to. But if she is paying around $8, it should be made correct. I went up, and the bartender was extremely rude.
