Really terrible experience. And it’s surprising because I’ve been here before and had nothing but good to say. This time was different.
To start the woman at the front desk was kinda rude. Then once I get into the room the shower head barely stayed in place and kept falling.
Once I got into the pod the light button was not working at all. The light was making this terrible buzzing noise and did not shut off at all when pressing the button. I used the intercom to call and the woman told me “oh in this room the buttons are switched. Try pressing the music button” at which point I tried that and all it did was shut off the music which then never went back on after pressing either button. You’d think this would be something she’d have told me before the float started. After telling her it’s still not working she just stopped responding on the intercom. This was all within the first 2 minutes of my float.
I got out because at that point the float was ruined. I went to the front desk and she tried to gaslight me and said “oh you have to push the music button in that room for the light”. She then said well what is your music and light preference so I can update it in your file for next time. Uhhh it’s at minimum a working light…..
The whole time this woman seems like she could care less and couldn’t be bothered. Oh and she was on her personal cell phone both when I arrived and when I left….
I left without completing my float with barely an apology. Very very disappointing.
Edit: I was the 10am appointment...
Read moreMy overall experience at True Rest Float Spa was great! I can't say I'll be back because the floating experience in complete darkness and silence is not for me. My mind races too much and if anything, it makes me more unrelaxed.Otherwise, upon first walking in there is a small lobby sitting area with incense, salt lamps, and meditative music. We walked to another sitting area with six chairs/ottomans and watched a six minute video about what to do/not to do. The staff member then showed us to the rooms, explained the pod, the process and was very thorough. I recommend bringing your own comb/brush (if needed) which I did. But I REALLY recommend bringing your own shower flip flops...(although they do offer them) I did not realize until after my float. The floor feels slimy around the shower area and you can see others hair from before you which personally grossed me out. The water in the shower does not stay warm for long. They have an oxygen bar, tea, and water for after your float in a nice sitting area and may lounge until you're ready to leave. Overall, good experience but I...
Read moreThis was my first time here and it was an Awful experience. There was no hot water so I had to take cold showers before after the float. I was freezing during the float and when I informed the staff they were so rude especially Michelle. My husbands first experience was great especially with his interaction with the owner Scott who informed my husband who is a veteran that veterans float for free on the 11th of each month and spouses receive a 50% discount, hence why we specifically booked for October 11. When we arrived we confirmed the pricing of our float to ensure my husbands float was free and mine was 50% off. But when we checked out my husbands float was free, however Michelle insisted on charging me the full price. When I tried to explain to Michelle that was not the case she became ruder, abrasive, and rolled her eyes at me. I continued to explain that’s not what the owner informed my husband and it as not until my husband came out that she agreed to charge us a discounted rate but still not the rate the owner informed my husband. I will be contacting the owner...
