So this review saddens me because I was a faithful customer at this beauty supply place. I came to this place because I like the people me and my daughter, like the selection of scarves, ponytails and wigs and the little shoes. They were cute as well, but today was not so great of an experience. I walked up here to the store so I had on a book bag I was wrapped up bonnet on my head when I walked in one of their associates, a female, older woman was putting tags. I walked to the wig section and I heard her say some thing in a foreign language to another employee. When , I turned around the employee was literally sitting in a chair, legs crossed, arm, crossed , staring directly at me, so I go to the end of the aisle. I touch every wig then I turn the corner she says something in a foreign language. The lady walked off, and the lady that was doing the tagging comes in to the aisle and stares at me and then I turn around and said, is there something you need would you like my book bag so that I’m able to shop in peace without you following me and staring at me she pretended like she was not following me, and then walked off saying something I then found her asked her to give me the wig that I needed I spoke to the young lady in the front. I explain to her that I don’t appreciate being followed in a store, because I’m black with a book bag does not mean that I’m going to steal from you. You should have more respect for the people that keep you in business, then to automatically assume that they are thieves and then she was not even woman enough to apologize. She instead denied doing it . The young lady that was in the front was very apologetic and I do appreciate that that is why I’m not going to go to my TikTok and Facebook with the situation but this is a review to let you know that you cannot just treat customers how you want. It is not OK for you to judge a person and assume that they were going to do something that they had no intentions on With this being my final experience with them it saddens me to say I will never support them just like they think I’m a thief I don’t think they’re worth...

Being that their Basic Main customer base are African American Girls and women, they treat us with RESPECT as soon as we walk in the door! The one little short lady, whom is a bit younger and she is soo adorable, she makes this store/ shopping experience EXCELLENT. Because she is the kindest/most helpful beautiful soul! Plus, their products are always quality and in stock..if you want something that they dont carry/or have, they allow you to write it down, ...and in a week or 2, that product would be there!! I cant say this type of review for the Many other beauty supply houses around St louis MO, those providers are usually rude and dont speak to you when you walk in the door... and they kind of look down on we African American girls and women, their main client base😣...so thats why dont get my business, but MIMI'S in ST ANN is BOMB AF! The lady asked the other lady behind the counter if the price was correct about three times. Still in disbelief she proceeded to go back to check the price herself, almost as if I had changed the price tags. I asked the other lady behind the counter if there was an issue. She replied that the lady just wanted to check something. I left out the store, I did not appreciate her questioning the price. Quality customer service would have been to sell me the items to honor the tagged price and then check the prices and update them if necessary, instead she opted to detain me as if I had committed some type of crime.
