This could be such an awesome place..but unfortunately it just wasn't well kept. We came to Bryson City for a weekend trip and after seeing the reviews I just had to go here but I was disappointed. It was in a little bit of a rough location anyway but the over growth was thick. (4 foot tall in areas) we did get to see the train parked on the tracks. The kids loved that. Read moreA small island park in the middle of the river with a walking trail going around it next to the water. When we visited it was very busy. There were many people with pets and they were not cleaning after them, so cleanliness was suffering badly. As an addition to (or because of) that, there were many bugs, so walking was not easy or pleasant. The trail itself might have been a little better maintained.
