Was a neat place to stop and take a break and let our dog play before we drive on the road to nowhere. There were picnic tables and a little bench where you can sit and watch the water. Plenty of doggie stations with bags to clean up after your pup. If you are going to be in the park awhile or walking thru the trees you may want to take bugspray.

This park was 5 min from where we stayed on our mountain geraway. Glad we found it ...our dog loved playing in the creek. We were there every day during our stay. It is dog friendly but some people don't keep their dogs on a leash so be careful if you bring your dog.

A bit hidden, close to the Bryson City Railroad. A beautiful almost untouched piece of nature. A path will take you along the river all around the island. Easy walk for all ages. Well worth a visit.

This could be such an awesome place..but unfortunately it just wasn't well kept. We came to Bryson City for a weekend trip and after seeing the reviews I just had to go here but I was disappointed. It was in a little bit of a rough location anyway but the over growth was thick. (4 foot tall in areas) we did get to see the train parked on the tracks. The kids loved that. FYI an umbrella stroller can't be used here without a lot of force. This place does have lots of potential hopefully our next visit this will be a better...

A small island park in the middle of the river with a walking trail going around it next to the water. When we visited it was very busy. There were many people with pets and they were not cleaning after them, so cleanliness was suffering badly. As an addition to (or because of) that, there were many bugs, so walking was not easy or pleasant. The trail itself might have been a little better maintained. In certain corner spots there were rough constructions that looked like home of the homeless. The city has a lot of work...

In a super sketchy area and not well marked. I wasn't sure where to park and if I was even in the right place. I was in town with my little dog and thought we'd get out a do a local trail in the late afternoon. Pulled up and thought no way. Did not at all feel safe to leave my truck or get out and walk. Definitely a shame for such a cute little town. The GSM National Park doesn't allow pets so this was the only option. I...
