Buena park mall Portillo's — Attraction in Buena Park

I don't know where all these positive reviews are coming from. The Buena Park Mall is by far one of the worst malls in America. It's been a dump since I was in High School 30 years. The city of Buena Park tried all they could through the years to help revitalize this mall and nothing has seemed to work. There are so many empty stores in this mall that have shut down and there's a gigantic empty space for Sears, which shut down several years ago. Even the new and beautiful Krikorian movie theater couldn't help improve traffic enough to keep the businesses open. Don't waste your time here unless they to visit the neighboring Walmart. The manager there is a real nice guy, but the younger people that work there are awful. They discriminated against my mom because she has trouble speaking English. The staff that worked there all pretended not to understand and gave her a hard time. They picked on her because she said; chicken sandwich not burger. They gave her such a hard time we decided not to eat there anymore. Plus they did put boogers on our burgers a few times very mean and immature. It was always after the manager left of course and nobody ever did anything to correct the problem. Nasty...

Buena Park Mall is unfortunately in a sad state. On one end is the attached abandoned Sears building. Then there are the many empty retail spaces throughout the small mall. But none of this can be blamed on the pandemic. This is how things were here pre-pandemic. I guess we can just add this place to the list of the dying malls of America. But it's still a good area to visit because of the many quality restaurants nearby and also on the other end of the mall is Walmart packed with customers willing and ready to spend...
