I have never been so humiliated! I visited the store with my mother in law. We're both Mexican. I felt profiled against at check out. I was there to buy a gift for my husband. I grabbed several colognes and the cashier Jaime did not let me open ANY of them to smell them. I have been to other ROSS stores (in the mall of Orange) and they let me smell all of them. I was surprised and asked to verify this information. At this point, the manager, Patty claimed "we won't be able to sale them if we open them!" Mind you, more than half of the colones they sale are already opened! I pointed this out to her and she stated I would have to buy them in order to smell them. The security guard, Jerry was standing nearby and watched us pay. Jaime grabbed the rest of the colognes in a very rude manner, as if I was going to steal them! We spent $150! As we are leaving, the alarm goes off. Apparently, Patty didn't remove one of the alarms on some shoes my mother in law bought. He then proceeded to empty the bags and check one item at a time, he yelled out, made a scene. I felt as if they thought we were stealing! The alarm has gone off on separate occasions at other Ross stores, I had never been put through this in this manner! It's on you, as a minority to buy here. I am a registered nurse, very well able to pay without a need to steal. However, they made us feel as second class citizens. Shame on your staff! Guess where I am NEVER shopping again...ROSS inside...
Read moreUsually, you get what you pay for. What I like about Ross is that the price is always right. Sure, they arenât the most organized. Itâs more of a treasure hunt. Thatâs why my wife likes it. Because the store is such a mess, you never know what you might find. Makes it an adventure to shop!
I appreciate their furniture section. Iâm always able to find a chair to sit on while my wife âtreasure huntsâ. It also gives me time to write reviews like this one.
Iâve never had an issue with customer service or really anything negative to say about Ross. I hope Ross stores stick around for a...
