Olive Garden Italian Restaurant — Restaurant in Buena Park

I had a Horrible Experience Today, My Mother was told she would receive a text message and that it would take approximately 45 minutes. So 45 minutes later with No Text Message received, we asked how much longer we had to wait. The hostess a Young Girl continued to speak with the Manager through a Mic when the Manager was behind a table only few feet away and the You Girl says to us we text you 20-30 minutes ago. My Mother checked her phone and No text message ever received that our table was ready, obviously the wrong phone number was taken down. The hostess told us the Manager will text us again to check the phone number and that we had to wait again. By this time for Obvious Reasons I was furious with No Apology from anyone and the Manager continued to stay behind the table instead of approaching us and apologizing or making any sort of accommodation. Meanwhile the hostess continues to check People to be seated. I told the hostess so we haven’t received another text message, so what’s going on? I refused to wait another 45 minutes and this is very Bad Customer Service. I told the Hostess I need the number for the Corporate Office this is not Right to treat us as if we don’t matter and to brush it off the fact that we just waited 45 minutes and someone took the wrong phone number. The Manager noticed from afar that I was getting frustrated and finally came over from behind the desk and said we would be seated soon she was very dismissive of what we just endured. We ended up receiving a 20% off which is not much. Unfortunately my poor Senior citizen Grandmother had to wait along with us to be seated as well in which we were celebrating her 87th Birthday. 4/26/2025 Stopped in here with my daughter for her birthday week. Olive Garden being one of her favorite dinner destinations. There was little, to no wait. Birthday girl ordered the Chicken Strips kids meal. I ordered the 'never ending soup, salad, and breadsticks' and a never ending Alfredo boat. Exquisite! A "Never-ending classic!",.. in my opinion! Customer service was "on point 👈😎" Staff were outstanding as usual! Sam took extra good care of us in seemingly being one step ahead of everything we could have possibly needed. Drinks refilled before they were completely empty, asking which soup selection i would like next, asking which dessert selection we wanted for my daughter's birthday, etc. Tables around us were clean and prepped, or "in-use." 12/2023 Our waiter Damian was Excellent!! Every time. 12/13/2024 Stopped in here on this Friday the 13th! 👻 To get a bite to eat after a long day was well taken care of by our waiter Johnathan. I Ordered the Herb Crusted Salmon. My friend ordered the Fettuccini Alfredo. & we ordered an Alfredo boat with never ending bread sticks, as we normally do. My order came with Chicken Gnocchi soup, and hers came with a salad. Facilities were clean and well maintained. Food was Great! Customer service was extra good as always. This has been the worst experience ever. This is one of my favorite restaurants, I know it was my fault as a costumer to arrive an hour before they would close but I feel like I'm still paying for my service and my food. I would expect more from Olive Garden. I would understand if I'm going to a fast food restaurant. And that's what it really felt like and on top of that, the kitchen had no refill on salad or drinks. Waitress never came over to address last round for bar. I did see the large group sitting next to us they were getting perfect service by a different waiter which I don't understand how we got a different waitress, which she looked so out of it, super busy and no attention to me or my husband. I did notice they were not short staff which I figured that would be the cause of the bad service but they had ppl cleaning the tablets so I know that wasn't the case. As well as people that work in the front are so incompetent, one of the front service staff saw me leaving to my car after they close the door she didn't mention anything about not being able to come back in I did mention I was going to my car since I left my credit card in the car to pay. The staff didn't think of asking the manager if I can go back in while I got my card from my car. When I came back to the door it was still locked and the girl was just looking at me calling in her walkie talkie. It was faster for me to call my husband and have him open the door. This was such a sad date. Since me and husband rarely get dates since we have our kiddos. But definitely never again will I go to this...
