All you can eat Sushi 🍣🍣🍤🦑🐙🐡🦐🐠🐟🦞🐬🐳🦀
Food was great 👍 only bad part was right after we put our order in the waitress came over within 15 mins saying we needed to put in our Second order end. WTH At that time the only thing we received was or 1 order of Green muscles none of our sushi , none of the other appetizers.
I found that very strange. Other than that. If you love sweet shrimp 🍤 1 piece per person not the regular two piece order. Same with uni & ( yellowtail belly ) sorry that was not yellowtail belly , 3 to 4 other items. I found that kinda off. But I can understand. 1 thing I did see was other people walking out after paying & the waist of sushi ( food ) left behind. That’s a shame. Maybe they should not be pushing people to put Second , third order in before they get everything they ordered. Lots of waited sushi. Damn if you order it then eat it. 😳😳
You do pay 1 price for beer on tap & hot 🥵 or cold sake $14.95. I seen a number of tables sharing the sake all drinking out of the same little glass.
We was setting next to 2 men who said they was Korean. I ask both them if they ate there before both men said yes it’s a traditional Japanese restaurant. The man setting beside me said try ordering this & that I would love it. What I did. He was so right. It’s always best to ask those who frequent a Restaurant if your just trying it the first time. I was very happy we sat by those 2 young men.
After the waitress told us to put our Second order in before getting anything else but 1 item. The one of those young man said that lady is kinda pushy like that always and laughed. ( he said to just let them know your not into rushing & want to enjoy each item your eating )
Everything was prepared professionally and traditional as they do in Japan. If you really want to experience traditional sushi make sure to set at the bar. Get to know who is touching your fish. We had 2 men standing in front of us at the bar making sushi- 1 man was making and preparing mostly rolls. The other young man ( who we clearly can see he works out at a gym ) was pupping out sushi fast. Both those 2 men was answered all my questions. It’s nice at the bar because you’ll see something catcher I you would never think to order - as I did when the young man was making sushi rolls I inquired what was in it. He was so helpful so I needed to give that one a good try. Yummy yummy. The taste was excellent. He said for me to try the baked dynamite with scallops. It was like heaven in a bowl.
I have eaten sushi all over the world. I’d put this right up there at one of my top 10 places in The United States.
Very clean , restrooms was spotless / no trash & the counter was clean and wiped off no water splashed nowhere.
If you really want to know if a restaurant is clean and good always checkout the restrooms.
I was going to only leave this place 2 starts because of the pushy waitress but after Writing this I have to give them 5 Stars. Wish I was able to give them 10 stars because they do deserve it.
Please can we work on the pushy...
Read moreAfter Thanksgiving and Christmas, eating so much meat, my wife and I have decided to have a sushi for our New Year's dinner. Because of a good Yelp review, I decided to give this place a shot.
As I had expected, there was a long wait. We checked in at 5:55 pm. One of the employees told us that we would have to wait about 45 minutes, but that it would most likely be shorter because the tables were moving quickly. So we hung out in the mall, where most of the retail stores were closed. The Yelp wait list estimated that we would be seated between 6:40 and 6:55. At 6:55, we asked if there would be a longer wait. We were told we were 2nd in line and would be served very soon. So we stood inside the restaurant waiting. At 7:13, we were the first in line, but it seemed like everyone else who came later than us was seated because they were bigger parties or wanted to take the patio. At this point, I was frustrated that we were not given the option to seat outside for quicker service, but because we'd already waited more than an hour, I felt bad giving up now and decided to wait. Now it is 7:28 and I am still waiting. And I still see larger parties continuing to be seated. I have built and consulted more than 100 restaurants and cafes. It is normal practice for a restaurant to accommodate people who waited longer than others at a larger table. But this restaurant would rather avoid eye contact with us than make a few less dollars by giving us a larger table. We were finally seated at 7:35. 1 hour and 40 minutes of waiting and 55 minutes after the time told.
We were offered a free dessert when seated, but were never asked when we finished dinner. We didn't want to argue and look like greedy diners wanting free stuff.
The food was okay. Nothing to be excited about. The menu is very similar to the Aikan Sushi & Ramen in Artesia. Even the presentation/aesthetics of food served are similar. However the taste and quality is far less than Aikan. Food doesn't seem as fresh. I won't say it was bad, but it was not better than any other restaurant in this price range.
Will I return? No! I do return when the food is less than good, hoping it has improved. But when the service is bad, I do not return. I just hope I don't run into another restaurant like this.
Some may say I volunteered to wait that long. It is true. But who would give up after waiting for an hour when you are keep being told you are the next.
** I don't want servers to think I am dissing you all. I think it's more of...
Read moreFood here is pretty good but management needs to be completely overhauled.
It took them an hour to bring out actual sushi orders. During this hour they only brought out all the side dishes as the kitchen continue to pump out fried side dishes.
We were hungry so we ate all the side dishes thinling that sushi plates will show up soon.
Right after ordering our 1st round of order, waiter came to the table, said it's their 'last call' and we would need to place an order for the 2nd round. Keep in mind we have not received 1st round food yet!!! They keep on bring in nothing but appetizers (side dishes) from 1st, and 2nd round orders.
After an hour, our sushi orders actually came to the table but by then all of us have lost appetite due to eating nothing but side dishes.
So I called the manager and explain to him that there is no way we can finish all the left over sushi. Anth*ny the manager actually got angry at me for the left over sushi on the table. I told him that we've got nothing but kitchen side dishes for an hour and all of us lost appetite. He actually had nerve to tell me 5 years of being a manager, he'd never heard complaint like mine. Which is a lie I see plenty of similar complaints on Yelp. He kept on shake his head when I brought up all the issues but he kept telling me that I'm not being reasonable. This guy lacks professionalism, mannerism as a manager. To be fair, he did offer 30 dollar 'discount' on our bill.
We pretty much spent about 25+ dollars per person for some udon, seaweed salad, sausage, tempura, and other appetizers. A lot of sushi that we couldn't eat went to waste. I was the one who suggested to go here so I ended up paying for the whole table over $170... (I still tip 17% as waiters and waitress done nothing wrong)
Never coming back to this establishment again unless I see different name or 'under new...
