Both times I've been to lowrider cookies, I have had a mid experience. Last time I went with a friend, we ordered the Brown Butter Triple Chocolate Chip and some Truffle cookie I can't find on the menu anymore. The cookies are fine--they have good flavor, somewhat creative options, and are dense and chewy. You can tell the quality of ingredients/preparation is good. But they are only fine, not great. And they are DEFINITELY overpriced. For their price, I would expect more flavorful, more chocolate chips, and definitely a more dynamic texture (perhaps a bigger contrast between a soft and crunchy parts). Or at least a bigger cookie.
Also, they have no way of heating their cookies up, so you will probably end up eating a cold, hard cookie. It's annoying that given the huge-ness of their establishment (which includes an entire industrial kitchen), Lowrider can't seem to afford a microwave with which to heat up their product.
Also, the service is fine. Not particularly warm, but little to technically complain about when all you're doing is buying a cookie. Buying a bottle of water is $5 tho, and they don't have a water fountain, which I find to be a little ridiculous.
It seems that Lowrider may be trying to become the Crumbl Cookie or--even more ambitious--the Levain Bakery cookie of Seattle, especially given the price. If you've ever had either of those cookies, and come to Lowrider expecting the same, prepare for disappointment. If all you're craving is a chocolate chip cookie, I would suggest skipping Lowrider and going to the nearby Subway, and ordering a footlong cookie there. At least they will serve it...
Read moreI had just landed from California and, admittedly, it wasnât my best day. I stopped to buy a cookie and, while paying, I removed my Prada sunglasses and placed them on the counter. Distracted and tired, I walked away without them.
When I realized they were missing, I immediately returned to the counter. I asked the employee if anyone had found or turned in a pair of sunglasses. Without taking a moment to check or ask questions, she quickly insisted that I must have left them at a previous location. A moment later, she contradicted herself and claimed that I had taken them with me.
Her certainty, combined with the inconsistency in her statements, felt suspiciousâespecially considering she didnât pause to verify anything. It left me questioning whether the sunglasses were genuinely misplaced or intentionally kept by someone who had the...
Read moreIâm a huge fan of these cookies! They have awesome seasonal flavors but theyâre regular lineup is sold, especially the toffee cookie. If there was more lemon zing in the lemon cookie thatâd be my fave.
.The space loos huge from the outside but inside the space is primarily used for their wholesale cookie production. There is a small cashless café and in the summer there is a nice deck to enjoy some great cookies AND ice cream! They also have cake that is comparable to Milk Bar, very delicious.
These cookies are the perfect size so that you can have two (or maybe three) and not get too buzzed on sugar. They usually have 1 or two stuffed cookies that are delicious and extra and even those are manageable blood sugar wise. I also noticed that they have a place to have classes where they teach you to cook some of their...
