Went in with one problem, came back with four.
UPDATE: Don't believe the "Response by owner". After several exchanges and interventions by the owner (franchise), the Burlington Mall franchisee said "it is out of warranty" but would "gladly" fix it again if I brought it in. Furthermore the reason for the screen not responding is because the shop did not glue the screen on properly, and the iPad is literally coming apart at the seams due to the poor repair.
ORIGINAL REVIEW: My iPad suffered a cracked screen. Brought it in to iFixandRepair. Firstly, they donât tell you that they replace the original screen with an inferior low cost alternative. The only reason I knew is the colors are washed out compared to the original screen. Then I found that flipping the magnetic cover around the back of the iPad, a normal way to hold the cover, causes the iPad to go to sleep. I brought the iPad back to the shop and only then was it explained to me that the entire screen was replaced with an inferior knock off and they had no clue why flipping the mag cover to the back of the iPad would cause it to sleep. A few days later the home button stopped working, it seemed it wasnât mounted properly and slipped off the spring. Brought back to the shop again and their explanation was âdonât press it so hardâ, which is ludicrous since Iâve owned iPads, iPods, and iPhones for decades and never had a home button break. They did replace the home button but now itâs barely functional again and seems misaligned again. Finally portions of the screen are no longer responding to touch. Flexing the screen will get the iPad to respond to touch again but only for several minutes.
Itâs obvious this outfit has no clue how to repair iPads. Donât waste your money and bring it to the Apple store. Itâs more expensive but will be worth...
Read moreMy husband actually took my phone to this place and my phone was fixed within 20 minutes. We paid $199. When my husband gave me my phone back I noticed a huge difference in my screen compared to his iPhone screen. The iPhone screen that was used on my phone was obviously a fake screen or a refurbished screen. The very first day my face kept pushing buttons although my face was barely touching the phone. Then my screen froze for hours. I couldn't even shut it off so I took it back to them. I told him that my screen keeps freezing, pushing buttons and that possibly a fake Chinese screen was used on my iPhone. He stood up and snapped on me. He told me to leave my phone and come back in 30 min. Idk if he snapped on me because I was exposing the fact that fake screens are being used for an outrageous price in front of other customers but I was upset by it. During my 30 min wait I walked around and realized that there are 2 other places in the mall that fixes iphone screens one being the Apple Store both only charge $140 and replaces your screen with a real/new screen. When I came back he took a look at me and rolled his eyes. Obviously unhappy to see me return for my phone. As I spoke to him about how it's not okay that I wasn't told fake/refurbished screen would be used on my phone before paying $199 he started speaking down at me like I was stupid instead of properly taking care of me as a customer (I'm assuming because I'm a black female). We ended our heated discussion with him saying "If I tell every customer that then no one would pay," I responded with "EXACTLY!" It's not okay how they're running business and I'm working with Burlington Mall on this issue. As a military member I won't let anyone get away with the wrongdoing of...
Read moreDo not EVER go to this store EVER!!! I will NEVER be back! At first I thought they did a nice job, they fixed my screen, didn't cost as much as with the previous owners, (nearly $150 less) and it was done within 45 minutes. Great! Yeah...until 12 hours later when the screen stopped working AGAIN. And I found a slight crack in the screen that...how'd it get there? I didn't so much as jossle my phone for fear of breaking it again! For all I know the screen was a refurbished one that THEY cracked and put on. So I brought it back in thinking I would get a new screen for free. Nope. They said because it was cracked it "voided" the warranty, but the guy was nice and gave me a new screen for $80 and I bought a case and a screen protector that he gave me a huge discount on as well. So again I thought twice about them being a bad business. Until this morning. With the protection on my phone, and with not dropping it on it's face, and the screen IS NOT CRACKED, it BROKE AGAIN! I have no access to my phone for the THIRD time in 2 DAYS!!!! I am NEVEVER EVER EVER STEPPING FOOT IN THAT STORE EVER AGAIN AND YOU SHOULDN'T EITHER! With PROTECTION I bought FROM THEIR STORE and had ON MY PHONE, I DROP IT (which the protection devices I bought are SUPPOSED TO TAKE CARE OF THAT IS THE POINT OF HAVING A CASE AND SCREEN PROTECTOR AND ALL OF THAT ON YOUR PHONE, IT BROKE AGAIN AND NOW I HAVE NO ACCESS TO IT ONCE AGAIN!!! STAY AWAY FROM IFIX AND REPAIR AT THE BURLINGTON MALL, THEY WILL SCREW YOU AND MAKE YOUR PHONE PERMANENTLY BROKEN SO YOU HAVE TO PAY THEM MORE MONEY TO FIX IT MULTIPLE TIMES! This "new owner" they supposedly has SUCKS WORSE THAN THE...
