Just saw a deer with my Dog Bonnie the morning. She was on a leash. We just watched it was beautiful! Please keep your dogs on leach just for this reason you never know what or when you r going to come across! Update!!! So I went to this park again yesterday and saw that dogs were off leash and coming my way. I had my Dog with me that is 7 months old and we are still training on leash. we stopped about I don't know 25 or more feet away from them to see what way they would go. She started to come my way with her Dogs off leash. I asked nicely could you put your Dogs on leash because mine is on a leash and he like to dark at other dogs (Don't know how Dogs are going to react to that that's why I asked her.) Well she said nothing and kept coming my way so I had to go up to the Soccer field because no other place to go. Then I yelled out can you put your Dogs on leash please and then I called her a name and then she responded but by that time she was to far away to hear her. So I took a pic of her plate number on her car and called the cops to let them know. Well turns out you can have Dogs off leash as long as they are on tight command. 1) not all Dogs are. 2) not even a sorry I don't have my leash on me nothing! 3) No not right. I say this is not right because on one knows this rule and there are signs everywhere that say dogs must be on leash and that's it! So what if someone was a afraid of Dogs and what if a Dog was not trained and bit someone oh let me guess it would be a problem them too late if you can fine them! I have to say this rule is not great because it's going to be hard to enforce that rule. That they can be off leash as long as they are on tight command who is watching...

Pretty delighted that the town turned this empty lot into whatever this is now, a great walking path and a well kept dog park. Ample off street parking. Nothing roudy or loud, very relaxing.

Update. I returned on 10 April and there was a swarm of RC air planes overhead, apparently there is a recreational RC field neighboring this Park, pretty cool. Gave me something new to see. Pretty random but...

Beautiful, well maintained trails. Wooded areas, marshy areas, open field areas. Trails are very well marked. Some parts are rugged but fairly flat. No climbing or rock scrambling was necessary in the area we hiked. Small you are here maps are at most intersections. Little arrows showing you which trails are in which direction. Ample parking.

The park has undergone great improvements over the past few years with additions of crushed limestone paths, picnic tables, and well marked trails. The only negative is when you walk the grass trails there are a ton of ticks (not the parks fault, just New England.) The wildflower meadows are amazing during the summer and fall.

Wonderful spot to hike, run, bike and dog walk. There's open fields for valley throwing and beautiful flowers and creatures everywhere. Nice groomed trails and plenty of good maps so you won't get lost. We love coming here any time of year. There's an R/C flying course and stands as well as a sitting area too.
