Antiques Minnesota Inc — Attraction in Burnsville

I was looking forward to stopping here with all of the great reviews. Once inside, it wasn't quite was I was hoping for. There was a huge variety of items & pretty well organized, but mostly seemed like glass items & toys. Although this would be great for people looking for those things, those aren't for me.

I did want to see a couple of things in a case, and once I had an attendant come to help, I said I had an item in another case, an aisle over, that I wanted to look at. He decided to help someone else instead. It wasn't that busy in there in my opinion, but he had the mentality it was super busy. Guess I don't care either way, if a customer wants to see an item in 2 different cases, the attendant should help that person, not wonder off to help others.

Then trying to check out took way longer than it should. Obviously there was not an actual line as I thought there was, just customers standing around by aisles looking at stuff and when employees asked if they were in line, sure I am. Then employees can see people waiting to check out, and decide to turn their back, mess around with stuff on the shelves behind the counter etc. Was waiting to pay for items & watched one guy mess around with nothing important for a couple minutes before even acknowledging me. Nostalgia, this is a great place to take you back in time. Their prices are the best I've seen yet in Minnesota. The store is full I would imagine, over a hundred other dealers, that rent out booths and shelves. Therefore you have a great selection of everything you can imagine concerning antiques. Because there are so many dealers you get a wide range antiques, such as toys books, dishes magazines, lamps and lights, furniture, clothing, rugs, dolls, stamps, and a whole host of other things. I only got through half of the store and it was time for it to close . I had spent two hours that's how much stuff there is to look at. The tricky part is you have to pass the store, and then take a left and go on the side road to get there. If you still feel like shopping you have Minnesota Outlet that's within 5 minutes of the antique store. Another really great part of this antique store, is you get really good prices, because there are so many dealers, you get the best prices. You may have five different dealers selling the same item, therefore you can compare, and choose what's best for you. Overall it's a...

My husband and I had always wanted to check out this place. We sure were not disappointed! They have something for every collector and price range. It is definitely NOT a quick in for a look place. It’s huge and you need to give yourself time to appreciate the many displays and their offerings. And even look into the “hidden” corners of the displays. I found that even though the bulk of a display didn’t draw me in, there was a treasure in the “back corner “ to be discovered. The staff is great and are there for you to unlock the case you want search or get a price. If you love antiques and are fond of the hunt.
