Goodwill Mid-Michigan — Attraction in Burton

Yesterday while trying to get my son and daughter some school clothes my purse was stolen out of my cart at this location. My purse along with my truck keys, credit and debit cards, my WIC card, one week's worth of my medication that I just picked up from the pharmacy and $276. When I realized it was gone me and my son started retracing our steps and looking for it thinking maybe I sat it down. I just knew someone stole it tho. After two different customers and one employee asking the manager numerous times to look at the cameras he came back 10 minutes later and said that no one was by my car for the last half hour while I was trying to ask him to remind it further I got a text from Chase fraud protection showing that someone was attempting to use my debit card at that moment. I again then asked him if he would look at the cameras again and he said that he didn't see the point we knew it was no longer in the store 🤬 so I walked out and called 911, got on my insurance app and while waiting for the police and tow truck I called all my cards and canceled them. The "Manager" & one male employee was acting very shady & sketchy especially when I said I was calling the Burton police. In my opinion I think it was an inside job and either the manager was in on it , &or/knew who stole it. After 2 hours of waiting for a tow truck, Burton Police & a ride home I finally left and only the tow truck had showed up. I love to thrift shop but I will NEVER spend another penny at this location or recommend this Goodwill to my thrifting friends and family. I had almost $300 worth of clothing in my 🛒 & after how I was treated by employees after being a victim of a crime in THEIR STORE was awful & very unprofessional! To whoever stole my purse, I hope you really needed it because now I cannot get my kids new school clothes in time for the first day of school 🤬 I have posted three reviews and I'm contacting corporate about this situation Monday as well. I would hate for anyone else to have to go through being treated the way I was after my purse & truck keys...

I was very disappointed to find out they still are not doing the 50% off on a certain color every week!!. They stopped doing that at the beginning of the pandemic for some odd reason and never started it back up. Inflation is real right now people are struggling now would be a great time to start that. The prices are not very low considering I can buy the same thing at a resale shop where the clothes have been laundered and pressed and no offense but not covered in pet for and filth! I do understand it's a charitable cause and we are helping those in need but I personally shop there also because I can't afford elsewhere but it's the same price as a resale shop where I can get cleaner clothes unstained and no worries of bed bugs or any other critters...

My sister and I went over because it was 50% off day at Goodwill's in Flint. I don't know if I've been in that store before. Pat, I have to say I really like how they got it laid out. It wasn't opened into the mall which is fine with me. I'm not a mall shopper but I liked how they had it and I thought their clothes were well organized and oddly enough they are one of the only goodwills that I have found that have plus size clothing.

And when I say plus size clothing. I don't mean an extra large. They had three four. I think they even had a couple...
