UPDATE- So, while I still had the frustration of driving back to the store again, I've changed my rating due to how they handled it. Maybe it was tested, maybe not, I'll never know, but I do know that these are 20 year old disc based consoles, so who knows? Either way, they apologized, handled it well, and made it right with NO additional hassle. We all make mistakes, it's how you handle them right? Still only 4 stars because of return policy. I still strongly dislike that I can hand over a $50 Bill (or more), and get something that doesn't work whatsoever, take it back (with receipt), and even if they haven't got another one, I still can't have my $50 bill back so I can buy what I actually wanted elsewhere, but just store credit to buy something else that I don't want. I'm still giving 4 stars because since they had another Saturn, this policy didn't bite me too hard, but I know if they didn't, I'd be really really upset. When you're dealing with 20-30 Y/O things that they may not get another one of for a year, it seems like a racket you might wanna think twice about before getting involved in. Maybe ask "do you have another if this doesn't work?l Truly good guys though. They earned back my business. END UPDATE~So, they sell me a GBC game, doesn't work. They tell me I can NOT have my money back (that I gave them) for the merchandise that didn't work AT ALL, only store credit. OK, well, I'll give you even more cash and buy a Sega Saturn console as long as they're tested first. Are they??... "Oh yeah, we test everything"... guess what? Doesn't work, AT ALL. Nada, and guess what else, I can't have the cash I handed them back for this merchandise that is a...
Read moreBefore this latest staff change, they were pretty good. Far better than a pawn shop when you sold to them. Still painful, but not life altering. The new staff, at least this one person... name not included here. Gender also left out intentionally. They suffer greatly in the area of human relations and customer service. I hate the word "service" but that's the culture currently. Anyway, went there to sell a guitar (I've sold them 5 or 6) the person in question just said "No. We don't do that anymore. Our musical guy is gone now. We don't have one anymore." OK. Fine. Thanks for being short with me. Next time I tool in 2 milk crates full of RPG books. Hardcover. Without looking the person said "Those are comic books. We don't have a comic book guy here. Take them to Miller rd." They weren't comic books. They said "Hardcover comics?".... It got progressively worse. What I told the human it was, "No. I can't take that right now. Miller rd can. I'm in the middle of a big trade." Also sent me to Miller rd to sell a 75 inch TV. Just awful care for the business and people. 2 out of 5...
Read moreI grew up in Flint, but since moving to Tennessee for college, it's rare for me to return home for a visit.
For the first time in years, my wife, son, and I made a short trip back to Michigan to visit family over the Memorial Day weekend.
Knowing that my son loves browsing video games and I love flipping through new and used vinyl, my cousin suggested we check out Media Reload while we were out and about.
From the outside, it looks like a small little shop, but once you walk inside, there's a substantial amount of space with everything from comics and vinyl records to collectibles and games from just about every system you can think of.
They have a nice selection of vinyl. I actually picked up three 12" singles to take home with me. I got them at a fantastic price, considering the great shape they are in. I didn't see any 45s for sale, but other than that, I was impressed with what they had to offer.
Again, I don't get a chance to go back to Flint often, but when I do, I'll make it a point to stop back by this place to see what they...
