Saw the Christmas in Harvard Square boys choral concert here. Just a lovely experience. And I'm by no means deeply aware of this art form, just wanted to get out in some cold and hopefully snow (we did!) with the fam and get the holiday feel going (we did!). But after reading up on the art form and this particular group in the event pamphlet it's quite impressive! The director has been all over the world and was an organist at St. Paul's Cathedral in London so I imagine that's the apex for that vocation (and one of my favorite places on earth). There are still tickets available for the next show on the 18th if you're looking for something to do!!

We attended at the Harvard Alumni reunion. The holy spirit is in this church. Within walking distance of the Harvard campus, St. Paul's was established in 1875. The current Romanesque style church began construction in 1915. The interior is breathtaking with many unique decorations such as a prominent depiction of the ascension, remarkable frescos, and a statue of the prophet Isaiah. A colorful statue of Mary can be found to the right of the altar. The pastor is welcoming, the choir is excellent, and the congregation is warm. Harvard students and alumni can find rest here.

Met McGowan who works at the church. While I took pictures from my camera around beautiful Harvard Campus and Cambridge. She asked where I came from. I said North Carolina. She said she is from Chapel Hills. I said from Raleigh. Small World. She invited me inside of the church. It was such a massive and gorgeous church. I told her I am 8x great grandnephew of Sir George Downing who studied theology at Harvard University.Class of 1642. We are the Downing/ Winthrop family of Boston and Salem during the 17th Century. Cheers

Beautiful church,Masses are excellently done. But a few very important things to consider about Saint Paul Parish-- even though its required by law to fill out Coris to volunteer at any church, I know of at least three men who didnt have too. If you have children there is no guarrantee they will be safe here at Saint Paul Parish. If you dont have money you arent wanted but if you do have money you can get away with just about anything, including working with the children on the property when legally you can't anywhere else. Even if you are employed here thats no guarantee you will have a job next week as the choir director, Mr. Kennerly, was fired days before Easter this year( 2023) during Holy week and Reverend Mark Murphy 5 years ago. I was banned from Saint Paul Parish because I am a woman, I am uneducated, I have a disability and I don't have money. On June 12, 2023 I have to go to the Cambridge Courthouse in Medford. My lawyer is Mary Ellen Donovan I am facing three counts of felony for worshipping quietly and respectfully at Saint Paul Parish.. I am now considered a felon. I cannot get a job. I am looking at 7 -10 years in prison for worshipping at Saint Paul Parish. My real name is Ellen Murphy. I am asking everybody to please go to another church because nobody should be prosecuted for worshipping at Our Lords Church! God welcomes Everybody! The First Amendment of the Constitution of the United States of America allows everybody living in the United States of America religious freedom and yet I am being denied my religious freedom, I am being prosecuted for worshipping here at Saint Paul Parish 29 Mount Auburn St,Cambridge,MA. Please go to another church. Reverend Kelly, you aareinfit...

This is a beautiful place.

That being said, however, the message that was delivered was unacceptable for being a socially biased and ignorant lamentation on a national public policy in regulation of pregnancy terminations. My wife and I lost our/her pregnancy because it had become clear that there was no chance of survival of our child and my wife would be at serious risk if we did not accept this.

It was not our decision.

The delivery of the message was done in a way that was dismissive of the health of the potential parents and even touted the issue as being something that is based on the convenience to the man and woman.

It was not our decision.

I was shaking. My wife was in tears.

It was not our decision.

I do put effort into giving positive reviews for places around the city, but this is an experience that I cannot brush off of my shoulder. When the imp jumps at you with barbs and knives, you have...

Wonderful church. I lived right near the church for almost two years and after moving 25 minutes away (biking), I still attended this church before moving out of state despite there being numerous churches nearby. This parish has something for nearly everyone. A Choir School that sings at the Sunday 11:00 AM Mass during the school year, young adult group, campus ministry (undergraduate and graduate students), a group for young families, coffee hour after the Sunday 9:30 am and 11:00 am Masses, Adoration, multiple Daily Masses each weekday, and opportunities for study of the faith, spiritual growth and practice of the corporal works of mercy. And finally, the sanctuary of the church is just absolutely beautiful. Highly recommend. N.B. I have not lived in the area since July 2019, so some of the details of the ministries may...
