SummerWinds Nursery — Attraction in Campbell

This is a nursery with a big selection; unfortunately, I did not find any of the roses I was looking for two weeks ago such as the lavender Barbara Streisand Rose bush, Love Rose or Rock N Roll. Maybe, they were sold out? Although, they had a smaller rose selection than I expected for a large nursery. The rose prices were reasonable and started at $39.99. However, they did have a great variety of flowers and trees. It’s a very nice nursery with helpful staff members. I ended up purchasing two beautiful rose bushes with large blooms; one is Love Song, which is lavender in color by Weeks Roses. The other is a hot pink rose by Star Roses named Sweet Spirit. I also purchased a lovely lavender Australian Hibiscus, which I had not seen in lavender at other nurseries, and I bought a lovely pink Kangaroo. I really love visiting this nursery and their Cupertino location! They have a variety of plant care products and some pretty cool mounted ferns! I shop mainly for indoor plants so I included a picture of the 3 I picked up last visit. A month later and these plants are doing great.

One thing I wanted to share is in regard to the Hoya Kerii I purchased. It has NO nodes, it is strictly a rooted leaf. I did ask the staff if they knew whether the plant had a node or two since I couldn’t pull the plant out of the soil to see for myself. However they didn’t have any knowledge on the circumstances of the roots, since they did not pot/prop the plant in-house themselves. I decide to buy the plant and recently repotted it to discover a very healthy root bunch without any nodes. This is only important if you want to grow a full Kerii and not just a...

Wonderful experience shopping at Summerwinds Campbell! We were getting our backyard re-modeled and were looking specifically for shade loving plants. The staff was extremely helpful in identifying plants that would do well in our backyard, patient in answering all the questions and going out of their way to help us make the right choices. Special call out to Lee, who was the person helping us. She was super knowledgeable on the plants and their needs and was very helpful in mapping the plants to our needs. We went to other nurses before landing at Summerwinds, but once we went to Summerwinds we didn't have to look elsewhere. ...
