Beachside Grand Prix | Cocoa Beach & Port Canaveral Go-Kart Track — Attraction in Cape Canaveral

To be fair, this place can be fun and the go karts are hi-tech and interactive. The guys that set you up at the karts are very nice and seem to enjoy what they do.

Unfortunately, I can't say the same for the rest of the staff. As my child was looking at the snakes and spiders in the glass containers, one guy told his workers to turn off the lights so that we'd leave - there was still an hour left before closing - and said it loud enough to make sure we heard.

This was also our first time here and when I asked the cashier if she could explain the different ticket options (because the screens with pricing were turned off as I was looking at them) she also seemed annoyed.

Pricing is a bit expensive considering the amount of time you can ride the karts compared to other places we've been to. It's about $17 per driver for one ride which lasts about 5 minutes. If there were other options, we wouldn't know since it wasn't explained. I don't like leaving negative reviews but the way we were treated was absolutely uncalled for!

We had been waiting a whole week to wait for a time where it wasnt raining at our Mamas house(usual florida) and the last day we finally had the chance. We went in and asked about what we needed to do and were asked about ages. A ten year old, thirteen year old, six year old and Adult. Apparently the well above height restriction 10 year old couldnt drive by himself which seems very unfair because he is very capable of being by himself and it would be no fun at all for him to be drove around for 5 minutes. But even if he was fine with that we couldnt have let him because you need to be 18 or older to drive in a double kart. Although I never did a go kart experience the staff were super friendly and cordial during the whole process of getting the shoes and purchase. Allie was our cashier and she serviced me my mom and dad although my parents later changed their mind due to fear of the go kart and she refunded us. The two gentlemen who helped me and even asked my mom to come ride with me were nice. I did get scolded twice for not releasing my brakes and lost control a little over my go kart because of my inexperience on using the vehicle but it was my fault and I do appreciate the guys for letting me know and helping me through the experience, telling me how to use the kart.
