I'm going to be very honest and blunt. My experience wasn't the best. Parking was almost nonexistent; when I finally found a spot, I had to pay $30.00, a flat rate. The parking lot was a couple of blocks away, no problem with that, but it was far from a parking lot. There was zero security, zero police around, people loitering around cars, several people smoking marijuana, and people looking for how to buy it... I couldn't get to the pier; the atmosphere and the people there reminded me of Tortuga, Jack Sparrow's Island, or a market on the streets of Somalia. The restaurant where I intended to have lunch was so crowded and noisy that I couldn't walk. The atmosphere was extremely heavy; it felt like an adult bar, although there were many families with small children. Lots of drunk people crowded together, the smell of joints also present. The noise was unbearable. Waiters were going crazy trying to serve customers. The perfect blend for a problem of epic proportions. First time visiting Cocoa Beach, and I think last time, honestly, it doesn't represent my idea of vacations. Without meaning to hurt feelings, I prefer safaris in Africa. I really hope someone from the city reads this review, and once again, no...

This beach was just great!! Second time at a beach ever in my life! From the waves, to the sand, to the free parking, & much more! It wasn’t as packed as the Daytona Beach & had many children playing volleyball, they even had chairs for use, no renting needed! No dogs are allowed in the water, which made the experience more pleasant for me to enjoy. The water wasn’t super cold, it actually felt warm even on a cloudy/windy day, when the sun was going down. Plenty of birds just walking & flying around just enjoying being apart of the experience, & the sand & water was clean as well. The waves are so big & the water isn’t too deep, I’m 5’2 & I am a beginner swimmer, so I really loved being able to go past the dock & not worry about the water taking me under. We had a wonderful time, being from Texas I can’t wait to visit again! Highly recommended for adults & children! They also had showers to rinse off, but closed at a...

I am handicapped and have had 2 nauseating experiences with the security. Robert and Mike have been rude and disrespectful over my bike. First it was Robert saying you cannot lock your bike here. That's fine, but you don't have to be rude and disrespectful to me. Then today as I coming from the beach with my bike. I shower and am getting ready to leave when Mike comes up and tells me that I can't lock my bike there. I told him I'm not locking my bike here. I just showered and I'm leaving and I just came from the beach with my bike. Note there are 5 other bikes locked up at the same place. I wasn't trying to lock my bike up there, but I do feel harassed and discriminated against by Mike and Robert. I hope their boss sees this and addresses their poor behavior. I get you are security, but I wasn't doing anything wrong and should be treated...

We went to the pier for dinner. The menu is simple and reasonably priced, considering the location. We really enjoyed the poke bowl and the burger, and of course the view! The same kitchen serves 3 different seating area. First section is covered but open, second section is air conditioned. Turning left instead of entering the second section will lead to the the totally open pier area, and you don't have to be a patron. At the end of pier is another bar. There is a simple security check before the restaurant - not sure during all business hours or just the night. There's a paying parking lot, and the security told us parking is free 7-9pm.

We went to the pier to kill some time before my flight. My initial thought was that we would be able to walk all the way down the pier and be above the water. We spent some time in the two small gift shops. There was a moderate amount of people on the beach, rental were available, seemed to be a very family oriented beach space. Two security guards on site (not sure if this is just because it's a Westgate resort). There were alcoholic slushies in large collectable bottles available as well as shaved flavored iced for kids. Tourist photo site with the large yellow chair in front of the beach.
