Although we were greeted warmly when we checked in, that was the last time we experienced any positive customer service. The facilities are definitely showing their age. There was frequently trash and spills in the lobby and in the elevators. The odor of vaping permeated the elevators and the hallways. We never saw a housekeeper, and no one came in to empty the trash or clean the bathroom. The air conditioning unit was old, musty, and not very effective. Fortunately, we were not faced with high heat or humidity, I can imagine the room would be miserable in the summer. The shower curtain was not secured to the wall and hung so low that about 8 in of fabric sat in the tub with the slow running drain. That meant the shower curtain stayed wet and probably growing mildew since it was never changed. When we called to have someone come and look at it, a very abrupt handyman showed up at the door, telling me we had complained that the room was falling apart. I asked him if he could come back after we left for the day, and he went away, and we never saw him again. When we returned to the room that first day and realized no one had ever come in to tidy up, I called the front desk. They were completely unapologetic, and although they sent some fresh towels over, no one ever came in to pick up the old towels or empty the trash. The morning that we checked out, my husband said something again to the clerk at the front desk, and his response was lukewarm, saying oh well, I guess that happens. He did adjust our bill, taking the $9 per day parking fee off. I had no illusion that I was staying in a luxury hotel, I absolutely understand that the Best Western model is really designed for a middle of the road experience. That being said, with taxes and fees, we paid a little more than $400 a night for our stay, and as I said, there was no service after a friendly greeting at check-in. I have learned my lesson and will avoid staying at a Best...
Read moreStayed here over a weekend for my partner's birthday. Easily the most impressive Best Western location I've seen and stayed at. The staff was top-notch, very friendly, and the front desk provided immediate check-in and a helpful map outlining everything around.
Let's talk about location, because for the price, you can't beat where this hotel is situated. They have a cool seafood restaurant and bar right next door that has HALF OFF happy hour drinks, a perfect way to get your weekend started. Beach access is about 100 yards away from the building we were staying in, and the Cocoa Beach pier is also a

Room smelled of mold and smoke, and the carpet was noticeably damp. Dead bugs were found in the bathroom and floor between the beds. Clearly had not been vacuumed at all, and we noticed our baby had black covering the entire bottoms of her feet. Do not go barefoot in these rooms.
Table and chairs were useless, as they were all crammed into a corner between the wall and chest of drawers/TV stand. Only one chair could be pulled out but it blocked the path to the bathroom between the table and bed.
Advertised as a double queen, but clearly two full beds. Tags on sheets even say FULL.
Housekeeping MIGHT clean your room. Advertised as daily maid service but then was told at the desk that it's by request only. But then, even if requested, they may still skip your room and only do half the job. Only pulled sheets up, didn't take out the trash, etc. If the room had been in this condition when we checked in, we would have found another place to stay.
Pool was cloudy with poor filtration. A lot of debris floating around. At least is wasn't so cold that it shocked the system when getting in. Blue Flip Flop bar was randomly closed on days it was advertised to be open. The drinks from the bar were decent.
The location was ok only as far as access to the beach is concerned. The turn in for the hotel was immediately before a traffic light. Heavily trafficked and turning left out of the hotel is impossible at most times.
The only redeeming qualities of this place were the friendly staff at breakfast and access to the beach. Standard breakfast fare, got the job done and was fresh. The beach was only about a 200y walk from the room.
Otherwise, I would not recommend this as a...
