Update: Today, we had the chance to visit this amazing park again after 5 years, and we found two more improvements: 1. Toilets are so clean. 2. Two EV chargers were added (not the fast ones though 7kwh)😎👍 Old review: Very beautiful park for friends and family gatherings and spending the day eating and having fun . It has lots of things. i did not see it in many parks like bike rentals and electric vehicles changing.. they also have BBQ areas and lots of benches beside the nice playground. The park is Free and dog friendly and the parking is free as well. The only thing i wish they take care of about it more is the toilets.

Awesome park right on the Banana River in Cape Canaveral, FLA. Great spot to watch the sun set over the river and Merritt Island, but I have never seen a manatee here. Long boardwalk along the water, a 1/2 mile fitness loop (by FitTrail), a large playground, a bike repair/air station, several picnic pavilions, a NovaCHARGE EV charging station, and full facilities/restrooms make this the perfect spot for kids of all ages! No kayak launch, but there is one at the small Banana River Park just to the north of Manatee Park. Get off of your phone and go outside!

I don't know what's not to like in this beautiful garden park on the water. There's a fabulous walking trail with fitness stations each filled with great health information in addition to easy exercises. There are benches and shade beautiful birds squirrels that are delightful and a dog friendly, people friendly atmosphere that's hard to find in other cities. It's great for early morning and early evening as well as throughout the day. There plenty of shelters and picnic tables and the possibility for citing manatees dolphins and other wildlife.

LOCAL TIP: If you walk towards the southwest corner (may have to get around a fence), there is a warm water outlet pipe from the Water Treatment Center where during certain times of the year, manatees congregate there and you'll be amazed. Fishing near the warm water pipe can be outstanding too, but you may want to release your catch since it's living near a sewage treatment center. The park has an obstacle course and track made primarily for the elderly with a concrete walking path between exercise machines that have simple instructions on their use. There is plenty of parking and there are picnic tables under a pavillion- boardwalks line the river's edge too. There is a statue of a manatee and a poster full of facts. I've seen kids playing Pokemon Go and having a good time with their parents during a beautiful sunset. The park is safe most of the time, but there have been the occasional shady person hanging out on the end of one of the boardwalks- they will usually leave you alone and mind their own business (they are mostly harmless and just down on their luck, usually they keep to themselves). There is also a kayak ramp north of the park in the condominiums past the soccer fields- may need to look on Google Maps to find- it also may be for residents of the condos, but many...

Its well-maintained paths and lush greenery make it a perfect destination for those looking to engage in a leisurely walk or a vigorous exercise routine. The tranquility of the environment, combined with the meticulous care taken to keep the surroundings pristine, speaks volumes about the dedication of those who maintain it.

One of the park's highlights is its delightful playground, which seems to be a paradise for kids. With a variety of safe and engaging equipment, children can spend hours here, reveling in playful adventures, making this park a top choice for family outings.

Adding to the charm of this urban oasis is the unique opportunity to view cruise boats. This feature not only enhances the scenic beauty of the park but also provides a sense of serenity as you watch these majestic vessels glide by.

Overall, this park is not just a place of natural beauty and recreational fun, but also a testament to the harmonious coexistence of urban life and nature's splendor. It's a must-visit for anyone seeking a peaceful retreat or a joyful time with family and friends.

This park is a mile from our airBnB. The park has a flat paved walking trail (slightly less than 0.5 miles) and also a small boardwalk to overlook the river. Along the trail are "workout" stations, which, in my opinion, are way too easy - however for an older person, this is PERFECT to keep in shape while walking. In the pond there are a lot of large smooth shell turtles as well as a few different birds with long necks and beaks (we aren't from around here so I don't know what they are called) that you can see by walking a bridge over the pond. There is a kid's playground area - which is mainly geared towards elementary school age children - my 6 year old loved it. The only thing my 2 year old could do was swing and go down 1 slide. The rest of the playground was too big for her. There is plenty of parking, and going around 830am, it is fairly busy with older people and their dogs walking. Beautiful park, could use some minor improvements to the kids playground and workout stations, but overall we very much...
