Drizzles Oil & Vinegar Tasting Store — Attraction in Cape Charles

The first time I stopped in this tasteful (and tasty!) shop was several years ago during a Bridal Shower weekend trip to Cape Charles. At that time, I didn't purchase anything, but I tucked this shop in the back of my mind because the cleanliness, variety and quality of products, knowledgeable staff, and overall experience made such a positive impression on me.

Sure enough, last holiday season, I reached out to Drizzles via email inquiring about putting together a gift basket for my boyfriend, who loves to experiment in the kitchen and learn how to prepare dishes that are way more complex than I can handle! I believe that I corresponded mainly with Michele, who patiently took the time to share some options and responded to all of my questions in a very timely fashion. When I made the trip to Cape Charles from NoVA to make my final selections, I was warmly greeted by Michele. Ultimately, and leaning heavily on Michele's expertise, I went with a bottle of their Garlic Cilantro Sweet Balsamic Vinegar, Black Truffle Garlic Butter Extra Virgin Olive Oil, and a variety pack of Pink Peppercorn and five salts (Thai Ginger Salt, Hawaiian Alaea Salt, Smoked Applewood Sea Salt, Hiwa Kai Salt Sriracha Sea Salt). Needless to say, my boyfriend has made great, delicious use of everything, so major thanks to Drizzles!

BONUS: Way back when, I believe I encountered a booth set up for Drizzles with free samples outside of a VA rest stop. I can't recall if both Laura and Michele were there, but it was such a pleasant surprise to learn about a local business and, not to mention, a brilliant...

This shop is an epicurean delight, and they will even let you taste test the olive oils! Drizzles is not just a store, it’s an experience. They sell several different flavors of olive oils, balsamic vinegars and coffees! In addition, they carry other culinary specialties and unique gift items that are perfect for the foodie in your life!

We were vacationing in Cape Charles when we stumbled upon Drizzles.The shop is colorful and inviting, and the owner is friendly and knowledgeable about both the products and the area. She invited us to sample several different oils while also giving helpful suggestions about walking tours and local sites we might want to visit. We really enjoyed the warm and friendly atmosphere. We purchased the Hickory Smoked and Black Truffle Garlic Butter olive oils, as well as the Hickory Smoked sweet balsamic vinegar. They’ve added so much depth and flavor to our dishes! We can’t wait to try even more varieties.

Drizzles also has a website so you can order items and have them shipped. It’s perfect for gift giving, or getting that item you wish you’d pick up while in Cape Charles. I really can’t say enough wonderful things about this shop, and I sure hope you get to experience it for yourself!

I am so pleased with my experience at Drizzles! My husband and I vacationed in Cape Charles for the week, and I visited the shop 4 times 😁 the customer service was absolutely off the charts; the amount of time and energy both Michele and Laura spent with me was far above and beyond! While in the shop, I was impressed with their knowledge of all things oils, balsamics, and sea salts. Michele was eager to assist me with taste testing many of the oils as well as experimenting with oil/balsamic combinations. Laura was excited to share some of her recipes that she uses the products in. Since being home, I have tried many combinations of all my goodies and am so over the moon for them all! We have already planned our next trip to Cape Charles, and Drizzles is one of the main reasons why!! I can’t wait to visit the shop and replenish my stock again soon.
