Absolutely love this theater. I just moved to the area and was pleasantly surprised the first time I saw a movie here. You can definitely tell they have remodeled recently, and everything looks great. I like that they have reserved seating so when new releases come out, you don't have to worry about getting there early or worry about ending up in the front row if you show up late. Yes, Fandango charges a service fee, but since the ticket prices here are so low compared to a lot of other theaters I have been to, it's not a big deal. If you see a showing before noon it is only $6.50! Or if you're going at a non peak time, just wait and buy your ticket at the box office to avoid the service charge. If you do end up using fandango, they have a kiosk inside where you can swipe your credit card to pick up your tickets. Very convenient! Now onto the theaters themselves. The seats are sooo comfortable. They don't recline or anything, but they are definitely larger and more luxurious than average theater chairs, and have a lot of cushion. The picture and sound quality are also up to par and look and sound great! I have never purchased concessions before, but they do have a bar that serves beer and wine! Overall a great theater with cheap prices, comfy seats, and a hip and...
Read moreOn January 6, 2019, I visited the Capitola Cinelux around 3:45pm, tried purchase tickets for my family and I. Two registered where open, patiently waiting, making eye contact with a employee he decides to help two costumers that came after me, not apologizing what so ever. I asked the the employee in front of me which he was helping a customer, who the manager was. With an unprofessional tone of voice his response was "I am". I proceed to explain that I had been there over five minutes making eye contact with one of the employees, that was very unprofessional not helping me. I felt as the manager didn't care nor bothered to understand the issue, never once did he apologize. Within his response he stated that the employee was calling the next costumer, that was my choice not to be helped. Wow I never seen nor hear management responded to a consumer/customer in a rude tone of voice and the words use.
I purchased my tickets for the reason my family was waiting outside on a rainy afternoon, but with the costumer services I recieved, I can assure it will be my last time visiting...
Read moreWe were visiting the capitola area and wanted to see the new teenage mutant Ninja turtles movie. We were just around the corner from this movie theater. Is located in the shopping center with a grocery store and a pharmacy. There is plenty of parking. This is a much smaller movie theater. They have several very small theaters with approximately 30 to 40 seats and one large theater with twice as many seats with the new film that has released that week. The nice thing is that they have a little bit more diverse food options, such as personal size pizzas and hot dogs. We got the large popcorn for $9 and you get one free refill. The rows were closer together in the theater than I thought. It made it a little bit more difficult to walk by people. You definitely felt a little crammed in. We were in the smaller theater for the film. Felt a little crowded since three rows were completely full. This is not hard to do since each row only had 10 seats in each aisle. However, the film...
