Sage Float Spa in Santa Cruz is a one-of-a-kind relaxation oasis that I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a unique and transformative experience. From the moment you walk through the door, you are transported into a serene and calming environment that allows you to disconnect from the outside world and completely unwind. The spa offers a range of services, but their signature offering is float therapy, which involves floating in a specially designed tank filled with warm salt water. It sounds simple, but the experience is truly remarkable. As you float weightlessly in the tank, your muscles relax and tensions melt away while your mind clears and enters into a state of deep relaxation. The staff at Sage Float Spa are friendly and knowledgeable. They take time to explain the process of float therapy and answer any questions you may have before guiding you to your private room where you will find everything you need for your session - including earplugs, towels, showering amenities, and even soap made in-house. It's difficult to put into words how amazing the feeling of complete weightlessness is. After my session at Sage Float Spa, I felt recharged both physically and mentally. My stress levels had lowered significantly and it was as if I could think more clearly than before. Don’t forget to check and come at there happy hour time is it cuts the cost nearly in half! Happy floating!

The cold plunge had jets in the huge bath tub, it was a little more than I was expecting with the water moving. The Light Spa was better than expected. My massage was only 30-45 minutes, the masseuse stated I was late, even though I had only come upstairs and used the restroom from being in my cold plunge. So as a result she only barely gave me a back rub. Disappointing! I finished with a float, it was a bit more labor intensive than I expected. Having to open and close the lid, prop it open with a floatie that smelled moldy, I could not get the music to turn off or up to hear it , or the jets off. I was given a brief overview before going in, however I don’t think there was a way to contact an operator/staff once inside the room. The “staff” around the facility seemed like I was interrupting their day somehow. Not the best experience for $275… I think I’ll try the at home DIY and save myself the anxiety. Save your $$ go to the beach!

A clean facility with lots of beautiful plants, was easy to book online and nice friendly staff. The store has some retail products of bath salts, CBD creams and oils.

I visited Sage Float Spa yesterday and had an all-around fantastic first float experience. The space is beautiful and I felt comfortable and cared for as soon as I walked in. High quality amenities (ear plugs, shampoo/conditioner/body wash, lotion, towels etc.) were waiting for me in my spa room, along with instructions and helpful hints about getting ready to float. The room was immaculate and had both a personal shower and float pod. During the float session itself you can choose to leave the pod open or closed, to play music throughout, and to change the color of the lights inside the pod or turn them off completely. The standard five minute intro music gives time to try out the different options and settle into your preferred choices. As someone who enjoys yoga and has an interest in meditation the float experience was a really nice way to engage in meditational breathing while being able to relax completely physically and not have to worry about possible sensory distractions. I left the spa feeling very calm and could identify specific places in my body that were more relaxed than when I came in. The fact that the water supports your entire body (instead of just a few touch points when you lay on most other surfaces) created a really unique restorative experience I haven't had before. I hope to...

I spontaneously booked an appointment with Justin one day and didn’t regret it. In 50 minutes, he gave me one of the best massages I’ve ever had. He asked the right questions beforehand and checked how I was doing throughout, making me feel comfortable and cared for. The room was a bit stuffy but very relaxing and pleasant.

My only mistake was not hydrating enough before the appointment, which caused me to have flu-like symptoms for the rest of the day. This was in no way anyone’s fault except my own, but I wanted to mention it for those who do things on a whim, like me. I quickly learned how vital hydration is before and after the massage.

I called back the following day to speak with Justin about pre and post-massage recommendations but was met with a hesitant receptionist. She said she would talk to him when he arrived and that he might be able to call me back. She ended up calling me back much later to relay what he said. I think the massage therapist should address the client, but I appreciate the response from the business nonetheless.

They also have saunas and float tanks, which I have not tried yet. The ample parking lot is another bonus. Overall, the experience will bring me back again for massages and...
