Nicole Cromwell Gallery — Attraction in Carmel-by-the-Sea

Quaint gallery located in downtown Carmel. My husband and I decided to drop in and contacted Nicole prior to our trip to see if we could stop by the gallery. Although it was not a regularly open day, Nicole came down and opened her door welcoming us and our dog. Nicole's landscapes and seascapes flow beautifully in the setting of the town of Carmel. We sat and chatted for awhile as we discussed her inspirations of some of my favorite pieces, in the shades of violets and lavenders and oddly, the yellows which I had not seen before. If you are in Carmel, I'd recommend stopping in for a viewing. Although the space is small, it's well appointed with the right amount of paintings to not be overwhelmed. I recently visited this charming art gallery and was completely captivated by the serene artworks on display. The peaceful abstract ocean paintings and vibrant floral pieces exude a sense of calmness and beauty. One of the standout features of this gallery is the inviting atmosphere that immediately envelopes you upon walking in. The gallery owner, who is also the artist, is an absolute gem. Nicole Cromwells' art and gallery is both welcoming and magical. Nicole is a local Carmelite and has the heart of a true bohemian artist that's reflected in her artwork. Each piece she creats comes from the depth of her being, and is supported by her skilfully sophisticated hands. Because these are the hands that have saved lives as an ER, ICU nurse. She has been able to channel that love of people into each piece as if there's a "hidden" message/ meaning with each one.
