There comes a time that investing in a timepiece such as a Rolex is truly a pinnacle in a person's life and personal destiny.... Perhaps the "Fourtane Experience" may be attempted to be explained in a text version aka: Google review etc... Though until you pick up the phone, walk into the impeccable and stunning establishment then you truly have tasted the top shelf champagne & cavier that bears the Fourtane namesake. We could spend countless hours telling stories around the campfire about how this watch and that watch is the best and how much it costs or how long we had to wait. Nobody needs a watch of this echelon or caliber..... You want it... Afterall the unboxing and fitting of a timepiece such as a Rolex is like landing a 747 all by yourself..... To say thank you to the owner John, and his family would take days to compose, his staff such as Steve, Audrey, Brad & Kiera are beyond hand selected and ideal for being the gears and transmission of the store.... it's not a transaction, it's not being pressured or being told that you have to make a purchase. It's walking into a business and being treated like a human being, shown kindness and respect with a hint of "hey, we are are here, we see you and let us know how we can help" without being in your face or looking down on you if you walk out for just browsing.... This is a unique blend of fashion, luxury, excitement married to a stellar experience of THE PEOPLE WHO OWN AND TURN THE WHEELS OF THIS ESTABLISHMENT.... You don't really invest in a watch or timepiece or anything at Fourtane.... you truly INVEST in Fourtane with the boxed goods being a secondary benefit. Well done John & Company as your history, story and legacy are just as important as the business of selling timepieces & jewelry.
THANK YOU! With much appreciation from a very grateful Fourtane customer. D. (Pacific...
Read moreLast September, I wandered into Fourtane "just to look" while on a trip to Carmel with my husband and dog. I had DH wait outside with our crazy young puppy who was wet from knocking over a water bowl in her crate in the car.
Audrey greeted me as I went into the store and was so nice to even invite DH and crazy pup to come inside.
I had been thinking about getting a Rolex Datejust for awhile but hadn't really found anyone that I wanted to work with, until Audrey. She was super friendly and helpful as I tried on the different exhibition models and decided on the configuration that I wanted. Audrey made no promises on timeline and availability, so I just had to be patient. She was such a delight to work with, super responsive over email, and even wrote me before the holidays with an update letting me know she hadn't forgotten about me.
Four months after my visit, I got an email that they had received a watch that was close to what I wanted, but not exactly. I just happened to have a planned trip to SF the following week, so Audrey reserved the piece for me to come down and try on. She unfortunately was not in the store that week, but she made sure that I would be well taken care of by her colleague Carrie Ann. My friend who came with me also commented on the wonderful experience we both had in the shop with Carrie Ann. She was also super nice and personable. We were both dressed like bums, especially since I was in "travel clothes", having been up since 3:30am for an early flight and then a 2 hr drive to Carmel. I did decide to buy the watch, and I am in love!! I don't think I could go anywhere else for any future timepieces, despite being out of state. I just loved the entire experience with Audrey, Carrie Ann, and Fourtane from start to finish. It's a no brainer - they are just amazing...
Read moreWalking into Fourtané in Carmel-by-the-Sea always feels like stepping into a place where luxury and hospitality blend seamlessly but this time, it was Milena who truly made the experience stand out. I’ve been connected with Fourtané for years. I first purchased a Tudor Pelagos Right Hand Drive and a Black Bay from Carrie Ann, who was an incredible salesperson before she retired. About three years ago, I put in a request with her for a Rolex Submariner. Since then, whenever I was in Carmel, I’d stop by the store to say hello, browse the watches, pick up the latest magazine or brochure, and ask when my watch might arrive. Honestly, the wait felt so long that I almost moved on to buying something else.
Then I got a text from Milena, who had taken over Carrie Ann’s inquiry list. She asked if I was still interested and gave me the choice between a Submariner Date or an Explorer II. I went with the latter one, and not long after during Monterey Car Week, Milena reached out to let me know my watch had arrived. I picked it up right after the event, and the process couldn’t have been smoother.
From the very first conversation, Milena was warm, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about helping me (and even my mom, when she made her own Datejust inquiry). And did I mention she’s a total Celine Dion doppelgänger? Milena made it easy, enjoyable, and truly memorable. I also want to thank Brad and Michael for their hospitality, along with Carrie Ann and the entire Fourtané team, who always make visiting the store such a great experience. This is why I keep coming back, and why Fourtané has earned my highest recommendation. My next inquiry will either be a Titanium Yacht-Master or a...
