Hobie Beach — Attraction in Carolina

Very nice and clean public beach located in Isla Verde, Puerto Rico to spend time with family & friends! 👍😀 Best way to go to the beach would be leaving your transport vehicle at a parking lot. You can find one right by the beach entrance; close to the Wallgreens store & fire rescue department. The lot charges a 1 time fee of 5 USD$ The earlier you go, the better your chances of finding a parking space quickly or you will have to wait in line untill car owners return from the beach to leave. keep in mind if you want a spot with some shade you will have to pay for it. Great beach with great waves that my kids loved. We were staying at a place right behind the beach, but I'd drive to go to this beach. The beach had a good number of people but we were still able to play a 8 on 8 beach football game since the beach area is large. We are a mix of native puerto ricans, Puerto Ricans who live in Boston now, half puerto rican kids, etc and we got into a big football game with native Puerto Ricans, visitors from Pennsylvania, and visitors from Chicago. The water was fantastic, the beach was clean, and the beach was very close to really good food. We paid $10 for an umbrella which was pretty big. Will be back when I buy my condo on...

This is one of my favorite beaches in the whole of Isla Verde in Carolina. Though it gets pretty crowded in high season. They have public beach chairs and umbrellas but you have to pay around $10 dollars for the umbrella and I believe another fee to also use the public beach chairs. There are no gazebos nor many trees to help shield you from the sun. I reccomend taking your own beach equipment, ESPECIALLY a beach umbrella or any other means to protect you from the intense sunlight. Also be prepared to be approached by vendors trying to sell from drinks to jewlery. Overall this is a very good beach. Nice waves to play as well as beach volleyball...
