I rarely leave reviews, but my experience at Pizza City at Isla Verde in San Juan was upsetting enough to share. If I could give ZERO stars, I would. From the moment we arrived, it was clear the staff was uninterested in providing basic hospitality. No greeting, no smile—just cold indifference. Any questions or requests for assistance were met with extreme disinterest or ignored altogether. Normally, in this situation we would just leave and not patronize the establishment. However, we had children who were patiently waiting in our condo room for something to eat. Since there were very few options open in the area, we pushed through and ordered food anyway. BIG MISTAKE!!!!!! The tipping point was when we had to address another customer—a white woman—about her rude behavior toward us. Instead of handling the situation professionally, the staff chose to escalate matters unnecessarily by calling the police on us. As a tourist, the last thing you want is to deal with legalities away from home. We left the establishment and was forced to deal with additional officers who were waiting on the street corner. Not once did the restaurant owner, manager, leader on duty, or staff member ever approach us to say anything, see what the issue was, or even to just simply ask us to leave. Instead, they chose to call the cops on us. Not only was this shocking, it was completely unacceptable. This establishment failed on multiple levels: customer service, respect, and basic human decency. If you’re considering visiting, be prepared for a potentially hostile and unwelcoming atmosphere.
P.S: Once we finally made it back to our room, we realized it was all a waste of time cus the kids refused to eat the food-and they’re not exactly picky eaters. To make matters worst, the quality was so poor that I wouldn’t even feed it to my dog. Definitely not worth the...

We stopped by this place because this was our second trip in the area and we'd been here before and enjoyed it. The breakfast is still good but there was a lack in service this time. I know that PR is a tourist area and is more laid back, but when we got there all workers were standing around talking (perhaps a meeting not sure) and then finally a female server slowly came over to take our order. Later she came back to take our drink order. I had to ask for my ticket because after we were served, she stayed behind the bar talking to a guy who was just sitting there. The next time we went for breakfast, they sent us a server who barely spoke Eng, which was fine because we ordered in Spanish and she still got one order wrong; twice! Then, she put a plate in front of me and when I told her I didn't order it, she pointed at my daughter and slid the plate in front of her, who didn't order it either! It just sat there and a couple minutes later she came back over to retrieve it and took it to another table who were waiting on food. How gross!!! We didn't go back after that incident and again had to ask...
Read moreDining at Pizza City was a frustrating experience from start to finish. The language barrier made it hard to communicate clearly with the staff, which led to some confusion when ordering. While I understand that language differences can happen, it would have helped if there were more effort to bridge that gap to improve the overall experience.
The food was really greasy, which made it feel heavy and unappetizing. The steak was especially disappointing—it wasn’t a proper cut of meat but rather pressed-down beef, almost like a minced meat patty. It lacked the texture and flavor you’d expect from a steak. The excess grease only made the dish feel more uncomfortable and less enjoyable.
To top it off, after finishing my meal, it took forever for anyone to come over to take my payment. Waiting around to pay when the restaurant wasn’t busy felt unnecessary and frustrating.
Final Thoughts: The combination of greasy food, poor food quality, language challenges, and slow service makes it hard to recommend Pizza City. Unless they address these issues, it's a place I wouldn't return to...
