We had a decent visit on Saturday. I arrived an hour after opening and if I go again on a weekend I'm getting there the moment it opens, but I probably won't because the afternoon crowd is truly a nightmare. I went with my fiance as a trial to see if I wanted my relaxed bachelorette party here and I absolutely will not be doing that for the reasons below.
Earlier in the day everyone was following the rules about not wearing shoes at all and not wearing swimsuits in the private bathing pools. That quickly changed on the women's side at around 1pm when the afternoon crowd came in and about half the women were wearing shoes in the locker rooms, wearing swimsuits in the women's bathing zones, and not showering before entering the baths which completely destroys the point about not tracking in outside dirt and grime into these areas. My fiance said the men's side wasn't nearly as bad. While I was leaving, I also noticed a couple women walking into the locker rooms while on FaceTime. I dont know how far they got, but I hope they got told to stop before they got past the shoe lockers because beyond that is where women are naked/changing and recording people in there without their consent is literally a crime.
I get that the staff could only do so much about the shoe/swimsuit rule breaking though, there was just so many people, but it would be a huge improvement if they just kicked people out if they continued breaking the rules after being reminded with no refunds because there are signs on every wall and in every corner, so there is really no excuse.
The food at the sushi place was good, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality. The sushi chefs were great, the people working the cash registers at the sushi and tea places were less so. They were not communicative at all and were quite standoffish - it was pretty jarring interacting with them compared to the rest of the staff who were helpful and pleasant. And if you're wanting to workout beforehand, just do it at your local gym. Theirs was small, swelteringly hot, didn't have much equipment, and the ceiling in one area had a lot of damage.
Overall, I would not recommend this place for a relaxing spa day - it gets very loud in the afternoon- so much as a unique experience/pool day with many baths and saunas to try out. It's a little run down but not bad, though considering both the price and what the place sells itself as, I'd expect a higher attention/enforcement of the rules. It really ruins the experience for those of us that follow them. If you're going to have zones that require nudity, then actually enforce it or just make it optional, it puts those of us who are nude in a vulnerable position as I'm sure there are many women who would've worn a swimsuit if they thought it was optional - which it isn't, I specifically asked as I'd seen other reviews mention this issue before.
Currently, I can only recommend people go on a weekday during standard work hours, as I'm sure it would be less busy then, or early on weekend days. I cannot recommend going on the weekend after 1pm, just so many of the people do not respect the rules and it's gross watching them track stuff around in their dirty sandals while you're barefoot. My feet were clean when I left, but I can't imagine that could be said for those who stayed longer than I did. Also, shoes should be allowed when using the toilets or foot covers/slippers should...
Read moreI really enjoyed the time here. Long review ahead with tips and a layout of what to expect. First - you check in at the front and are given electronic bracelets. *Do NOT lose it, as you will have to pay a fee to replace it. Also, if you want alcoholic drinks, be SURE to ask for a drink bracelet. We said we would be drinking, but were not given a bracelet. This led to my husband having to leave and go back to the front to get bracelets, because we couldn't order drinks! Next-you go in to the his/hers locker rooms. Your bracelet will have a number that matches your shoe locker, which you'll put your shoes in. It says "No shoes/phone" on the sign, because you are heading to a change room, but people had phones no issue. In the change room is hair dryers, disposable razors and toothbrushes, makeup round wipes, etc. There are also bigger lockers to hold the rest of your things.
Their are his/hers bath areas that are completely nude within the locker rooms. Inside are hot and cold baths to alternate in, as well as shower spaces with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash (standard bulk stuff, nothing fancy). The rest is main areas - a sauna section, a lounge section, and a pool section. My suggestion would be to head to the saunas to sweat first, then rinse and head to the pool area. But you do you! 😁
The sauna section is on floor 2 and has 7 different hot saunas with varying temperatures from around 120 degrees to 175 degrees. There is one cold room to help if you get overheated, and it sits around 62 degrees. In that section is also the massage/nail area, a sushi spot, and an ice cream/smoothie/boba spot (all of them cost extra $$). There is also a lounge spot to sit in the middle of this floor. I got a sushi roll that was great (wasabi was not spicy at all lol), and a fruit chiller bowl at the smoothie spot (sooo tasty 😋). I did not get a massage here, as the pricing is $$$. There are massage spots super close by for much better price, and I personally booked something right before coming here.
Upstairs (floor 3) is a lounge/sitting area with a Korean restaurant. There's also a fitness center, although I did not try either.
The main floor opens to the pool area. I did not get a chance to take photos of the outside pool (it started raining!), But there are currently 3 pools and some hot tubs to enjoy. The kids pool was currently drained when I went. They are all heated to some sense, so it won't be come to step into. There's also another sauna out here to step into. The pools have these massage spots around for legs, back, etc. Some of them work and some are broken, so you kinda have to click around to find ones. There are also lawn chairs and couches to chill out on or put your stuff in. Indoors, there are two heated pools and one hot tub. They make is sound live there is a full 'swim up bar'. The truth is that you can order a drink and have it in the pool, and there are little tables in the pool to set drinks on, but you do have to physically step out of the pool to go order and get a drink. There is also a food spot here, no food in the pools. Ok the website they made it sound like fancy tapas, but it's just normal food like chicken tenders and burgers haha. I have a menu photo of the drinks and food here.
The space overall looks very nice, but looks like they have not done proper maintenance to...
Read moreI came here a few weeks ago for a birthday celebration. It was my first time at any spa like this and it seemed great initially. It was confusing in the beginning because they don't really tell you where to go or what to do in the maze of getting to/through the locker room and around the facility. There are a bunch of sauna type of rooms to choose from but I doubt their authenticity. The salt room had no salty smell. The ancient wood hot tub had no woodsy smell. None of the rooms had any type of different feelings/smells from one another. All the pools/hot tubs felt and smelled the same - like regular pools and hot tubs. There are signs on the doors of the sauna rooms to be quiet and respectful but nobody is enforcing it. People talk and laugh loudly in these rooms so it's not calming at all. In the outdoor pools, there are buttons to press to turn on various jets and spouts. Literally half of them didn't work, in all of the pools. Some were spraying water way too hard and were painful, while other's simply didn't even turn on. The overall atmosphere wasn't calming and relaxing like a spa but more like a party atmosphere, especially in the pool areas. They were even playing upbeat party type music in the indoor pool area. There is an area on one of the upper floors that has some mats on the floor that seemed to be somewhat peaceful, but the rest of the facility was crowded and fairly loud.
There were two employees in the ladies room standing in front of the sink blocking one of the sinks. One girl was crying and the other was talking to her. They were in there for at least 20 minutes and didn't bother to move to make room for guests that needed to use the sink. I understand personal issues happen, but I feel like that shouldn't have been taken care of in a public guest area.
There was a children's pool area outside that was out of service. It had no water in it and was dirty. It's right next to the other outdoor pools so it was a bit of an eyesore.
Three of the people I went with ordered food and they said it was terrible. They didn't eat it and actually threw it away. I believe they got some type of french fries and another got shrimp maybe? The drinks are very expensive but tasted good. The cups for the drinks are small.
I got the K-Scrub plus. This was the highlight of my visit and I very much enjoyed it. The woman doing the scrub was very nice and professional, as well as being very thorough. It was invigorating and at the same time very relaxing. I would definitely recommend the K-Scrub plus to anyone coming in.
Check out was chaotic and confusing. They got the birthday girl's bill wrong numerous times so it took over 30 minutes just for her to pay and check out. Check your bill before you pay!
Overall, I'd recommend to have a little more informative check in process. They definitely need to fix the jets in the pools. I don't know that anything can be done about the saunas and their "healing properties" per say, but they felt like they were all the same - just a hot dry room. They need to have more people monitoring the activity in the saunas to keep it quieter and more relaxing. I may come back just for the K-Scrub plus but otherwise I will try somewhere...
