I went to Avail over the span of several months in 2021 for laser hair removal. When I first started going, I was seen by one person consistently who came up with a plan for what I wanted to achieve. She then left the spa for a different job. In the midst of her leaving, the spa got a new laser machine and she informed me that the new machine was much better and the spa would be giving me as many complimentary sessions as it took to achieve results because switching from the laser they had been using (which she said was old and not very good) to the new laser would cause a disruption at first in the process for my hair removal. Once she was gone, I never had a consistent person helping me again and every single person who attended to me gave me different recommendations, I would be told by one person that I should go three weeks in between appointments, then the next time someone would tell me to wait five weeks, then someone else would tell me something different. They claimed to write notes in my file for consistency, but no one ever looked at them or knew anything about my treatment plan! Even though I still had hair growing, they told me the complimentary sessions were ending, even though I had initially been told they would do them as long as it took to get results since it was their laser that they had changed and them that kept changing my treatment plan. Overall, it was a scattered experience where no one really seemed to know what they were doing and I do not have results at all. All the areas I had treated have the same amount of hair growing in them as before. I would not recommend this spa, as I am positive you can get more personalized, attentive, and effective care somewhere else. It has been a few months since I went, because I wanted to give an accurate review and see how the services stood the test of time. Save yourself the money and the hassle and go elsewhere?.
Update The owner has responded to my review with some false information. There was definitely one or two times that I did have to reschedule my appointment, but I called the office with at least several days notice if not over a week if I had to reschedule. Keep in mind this process occurs over MONTHS so if you have to reschedule once or twice that should not be a big deal. Especially when their laser breaks and the office has to call (the day you’re supposed to come in about twenty minutes before you are supposed to be there) and they ask you to reschedule because they’re having difficulties. I wonder if that rescheduling is one of the times I “rescheduled” that your system kept track of? Even if your company “never offers” complimentary services until you see results, I WAS offered that by someone who was employed by your office at the time so it is well within my expectations to hope that that be honored. Read moreI had an awful experience at this place. I scheduled a rf microneedling appt to have my face and arms done. There was a storm the morning of my appt and I called to let them know was arriving 15 minutes late. They said no problem and to come anyway. I arrived at 11:30 while another very talkative lady was checking out. I waited for the conversation to end as all the front staff was engaged in it. I then checked in The tech Allison, took pics of my arms and face, put numbing cream on my face and started talking about what she thinks is important about skincare. After 30 minutes, she told me she would not be able to do my arms. I asked her why. She responded that my appointment was at 1115 and I had arrived at 1136 and it would cut into her break to do both my face and arms. I told her ok if you cannot do both I understand but I mainly came to have my arms done so I'd prefer to do my arms. She got very argumentative and said she already put numbing cream on my face and it would take too much time to wash it off and put it on my arms and I didn’t seem to understand the importance of her break, that I should reschedule the arms for another day. I was only in town for a few days and told her I would not be able to reschedule. She started staring really hard at me, then started lecturing me about being late. I told her I had called ahead and they said it wasn't a problem. She kept trying to engage me in an argument at which point I told her I did not pay money to come to a spa and be disrespected and spoken to in a demeaning way. I then asked to speak to the physician in charge. She laughed and said he was on vacation, as if he did not care how they treated clients. She kept arguing and I firmly told her to stop talking and that I was leaving. I got up to leave and went to check out at the front. I told the front desk staff I was leaving because the tech didn’t have time to do the treatment. They asked if I would like to reschedule and Allison the tech, walked up behind the staff and said, " no, she will not be returning". That pretty much sealed the deal for me.
** edited to add that I was contacted by the business and can confirm that they actually really do care about their customers. They offered a sincere apology and made arrangements to make things right and rescheduled my appointment with a lady named Madison. I accepted their offer and returned. The interactions I had with the business at my second visit and with Madison were above and beyond, many worlds away from my original experience. I regret that I let one sour employee shade my opinion of a really great place. I had the RF microneedling done and my skin looks amazing. Not only did was the treatment done perfectly and professionally, the ladies were very sweet and genuine, enthusiastic to share their love of what they are doing and knowledge of skincare. Read moreEdit rating*long story short, had a procedure done that didn't end up going so great, by a PREVIOUS nurse, Grant and Holly were both absolutely amazing in getting my issue addressed and Holly getting amazing results. Girls&guys 😀 definitely read the reviews, they are important. And if you think your nurse injector isn't listening to you or you're not getting the results you want, speak up. If you think they are just digging deeper into your pocket (which some will) say something, write a review, go somewhere else. But again Grant is what an office manager should be! Holly is what an NP should be and is all about, so thank you both so much!

EDIT* Let me be clear, Holly was very helpful and fixed the majority of the previous injectors mistakes! She helped with what she could with what she had. I spoke w her about a week about this ongoing issue!! Did what she said. But too no surprise Holly is no longer there. Avail for whatever reason can't seem to keep a good nurse/injector! That should say something! And never was I given any information about a previous provider! This is your company, your the doctor, these are your employess. You are responsible for them and what they do and don't do! Never was any name calling said either, if you call "incompetent" name calling, then so be it. Shame on you for making this post instead of picking up the phone! I'm also still waiting for my records and pictures!!
