As an avid mover goer I find the experience to be best in a large theater setting , locked in the dark surrounded by excellent immersive sound. At least it used to be. The movie theaters are losing business because they stopped caring about their core customer. Regal charges extra for IMAX and for 3D films , with the thought that customers get a better experience. Bullshit. Prices were raised to afford reclinable seats that don’t work and are torn up. Fees are added for the convenience of choosing my own seat , which means now there are no box office sales. So I help eliminate a cost for the theater and get to pay for the pleasure. Utter nonsense. The sound in tonight’s 3d showing of captain America brave new world was at a lower volume than my home, making it even easier to hear the two rude chatterboxes sitting next to us. What’s clear is Regal, like so many others has given up. This is why streaming is preferred. Your seats don’t recline and are half moth eaten - likely in the armrest making it just uncomfortable enough to want to keep your hands in your lap. Your sound is not on par with most home theater systems, and there is no policing of the experience - like cell phone usage. Why should anyone go to the theater? To see the film before some idiot on line decides to spoil it with their “hot take”? What makes this a desirable date night? My wife fearing that I will launch into a hot tirade with my next seat neighbor who can’t shut up? Maybe it’s the overpriced popcorn that hasn’t been made in house for years opting to optimize profit over freshness. The decline of this theater (crossroads 20) is just about the last straw for me. According to my app my lifetime credits earned are 382,246. At times a diamond member - which means nothing. This doesn’t account for my years before the app was available . If you rented cars for a living and the car smelled like smoke and the radio didn’t work and it had busted windows and flat tires, you would never rent from that company again. I doubt sincerely, any of my words will make it to anyone who has anything more than “I’m sorry” to say, but it should be noted that someone in the management of this organization should be fired for what is tantamount to criminal negligence over these entertainment venues. I am disheartened, dismayed and disenfranchised. I plan to copy and rerelease this review wherever I can because it’s time the theater system realized it’s not unanswerable to its clients. You provide a place for entertainment, you have forgotten that- and should be boycotted until someone who cares steps in, or the system is dismantled in favor of fresh made popcorn at home and an experience that lets us enjoy the film. We eat the popcorn, we drink the soda - but that’s not why we’re there and that’s all you people care about. You wanted to know why I’m unhappy, there - now let that ride upon the wings of deaf ears. At least I’ll feel better about it. Or not - sigh. I’m near certain that I’ll never get a response but at least this won’t get posted for your patrons to see. Thanks for …...

I regret to say that my recent visit to this IMAX theatre was far from satisfying. While I am an enthusiast for the immersive IMAX experience, this particular visit felt more uncomfortable than enjoyable.
The first issue I encountered was the inappropriately lit setting. The lights in the theatre were left on throughout the screening, greatly diluting the cinematic experience. It felt as though little care was given to ensuring that attendees could properly immerse themselves in the movie environment. A small oversight, you may argue, but significantly impactful on the viewing experience.
The more critical issue, however, was the deafening volume level of the sound effects. As someone who typically relishes the powerful IMAX sound system, I found the audio so loud this time that I genuinely feared it could cause hearing damage. This was not the usual thrilling, edge-of-your-seat audio experience that IMAX fans, like myself, crave, but rather a discomforting assault on the ears.
What worsened the situation was the management's response to my concerns. After addressing the matter with two managers, not only was there an utter lack of empathy or concern, but there was also a dismissal of the potential health risks posed by such extreme volume levels. Instead of taking my concerns seriously, one of the managers began arguing that IMAX movies are meant to be loud, completely bypassing my point about the potential danger of the excessive noise.
It was a disappointing experience, not only due to the flawed movie presentation but also because of the disconcerting disregard shown by the theatre's management. For a venue that should prioritize the comfort and safety of its patrons, it fell short in its duty. I hope that the management revisits its approach to customer feedback and works towards delivering the truly awe-inspiring IMAX experience we have all come to love.

Read moreWe arrived at the theater and got seated at 9:15 pm for a 9:20 pm showing. We saw Deadpool in Theater #4. When we got to our seats the floor was COVERED in popcorn and was sticky from a spilled soda. I had to go get napkins and wipes from my car to wipe down the seats and cupholders because they were so disgusting from the previous showing. The theater also smelled awful; like a Chuck-E-Cheese that hadn't been cleaned in a long time.
We probably would have left and had our money refunded if we were going to see any other movie, but we specifically went on Tuesday night, as both my fiancé and I work other days of the week. I'm SO glad we did end up going on Tuesday because it was discounted movie day. I would have been FURIOUS to have paid $48.00 (for JUST TICKETS) only to show up to the filthy theater that we walked into last night. Deadpool will be the last movie we ever see here. It's not worth it to pay what the theaters charge only to show up to an unclean theater.
The second thing that irked us was the fact that our 9:20 start time turned out to be more like a 9:50 start time. Tell me WHY on earth do we need to sit and watch 20 mins commericals BEFORE we watch 10-15 mins of previews? Just start the freaking movie when you say you're going to start it. We have better things to do than just sit and watch commercials for pharmaceutical drugs and hospital ads.
It's SO sad that y'all charge the high prices for tickets and food/drnk and clearly your employees don't get paid enough to care even a small amount about their jobs. I'd rather just stay home from now on and watch movies in the comfort of my own clean and peaceful home. The movies just are not what they used to be these days. Lastly, it should be a crime to sell popcorn for $8.00-$12.00. Since when does two people going to the movies break the bank to this degree? I should NOT have to spend nearly $100 TO...
