This park really has it all... and there's something here for every age! There's Artwork & art Installations sprinkled along its pathways, a splash pad for the kiddos, lots of Pokémon Go Stops & 2 Pokémon Go Gyms, and don't even get me started about how stunning the park looks during the holidays when it is lit up! Quite truly one of my favorite parks. You can tell the city really goes above & beyond for Lake Concord & it's appreciated by the masses (that I've met there at least!) & I have met great friends that play the same game I do there! I personally also feel safe there knowing the police department monitors the activity within the park/ parking lot of the park specifically at night- I was unfortunately unaware of a rule about the park being closed at dusk/night because of how open of a concept it has. I play Pokémon Go during the evening hours due to my jam packed work week hours, & CPD (although they did scare me enough to almost jump into my passenger seat lol) was super kind about educating me vs. be unkind or kick me out. From my friend's experiences in Orlando, he isn't usually extended the same kindness when he's found in parks or even gas stations or highly populated areas, alone playing a game on his phone.
Don't sleep on visiting this gem the next time you're near the Target in Casselberry! It's right behind the...
Read moreCasselberry has done a great job with this lakefront park. I'm writing this in June and the flowers and trees are in full bloom. There are sculptures and art at every turn and everything is well taken care of. There is a climbing structure and water play area (currently under repair) for kids, benches, a seating area with many tables and chairs, and educational signs about some of the ecological systems at the park. For nature lovers, there are several kinds of trees and plants to enjoy. The path around the park, if you walk up and around the large fountain, is 1/4 mile. You can continue the path across Lake Concord to view the lake. AND pets are welcome! Bring a blanket, your dog, your kids, a book, and/or your walking shoes and enjoy this quiet little sanctuary.
For Pokemon Go fans, there are 8 Poke stops around the path that you can do in the time it takes them to refresh. There are at least 3 more PokeStops close by and there is a PokeGym in the...
Read moreI pick my grandsons up from school on Wednesday's and we head straight to this park. It's a hidden gem right behind the Casselberry water department and police department. They have sculptures and flowers and the landscaping and walking path is great. They have one piece of playground equipment which is a climbing wall but that have a splash pad for the kids and open spaces for them to run. They also have a beautiful bridge that leads clear to Home Depot but we walk it every time we come and feed the turtles and there must be 50 of them out in the lake that come right to the boys. It usually has nobody there and it's just a great place to go. We've also taken them when they have an activity at the park and it was super clean and wonderful. Go and enjoy what you pay for with your tax money - But not on Wednesday...
