I have previously made a review but it is time to update it. Previously Lee, Mary and Chiqui were the main people I have ever had. Unfortunately Lee and Mary and a man left. Chiqui is still there (thank god). I went for my normal mani/pedi last month and realized they left. Just like some of these new reviews, I had the older lady and another older lady for my feet. Pedicure wise (she was very rough with the drill to get the gel off). I normally donât say anything and I deal with it. After the pedicure my toes were very sore. Then when it was time for my nails, I had the other new lady. Everything was going well until she ended up drilling one of my nails so much it broke right through my real nail. I had to politely ask her âare you going to fix that?â. She then got a tip ready to glue it on, but didnât even think to cut my half broken nail and file it before putting the tip on. I had to then ask again to cut and file. After that was done, she was applying the dip to my fingers, one finger (the broken one with the tip) she caked on the dip so much (probably almost 1/2 an inch thick). After a while I decided to ask if she was going to leave my nail like that. She used the drill as much as she could to try and thin it out. It was so thick it did not do anything. I started to get upset because clearly this will not going to turn out good at all. I started to get anxious and I looked at chiqui to help me. Of course Chiqui came to the rescue. I then switch to Chiqui and she had to take everything off because it was so bad, it was not fixable. Then the lady who did my nails ask why I did not want her. I told her âbecause you broke my nail that I have been trying to grow for months, you drilled right through my nail and you were going to leave a clump of dip powder on my nailâ. This lady didnât even seem apologetic of what happen. She started to have an attitude and walked away. Iâm sorry but I have been coming here for almost a year. ALWAYS had exceptional service. But these new two woman, is making this salon look terrible. Only reason why I went again, only because of Chiqui. She is the only reason why I have not went somewhere else. Who ever is the owner, really needs to rethink who they allow to work there. I see from other recent reviews, this salon is going to lose business and itâs sad because it used to be amazing. To the owner, if Chiqui leaves, I will follow her. After the way I was treated by these new women. So...
Read moreEllen and the owners before were/are great when they're not rushing for the next client who just walked in the door. However, they just got in a group of girls that clearing got their training and is getting their training from working on paid, unsuspecting clients who walk through the door. Unfortunately, many people aren't aware that Asian run massage places and nail salons are notorious for having people work in them they NEVER trained or went to school for the job they are doing. There are places (schools) off Colonial in the Asian run areas where they pay the owner a few hundred bucks to license their workers to work in their spas. I was there on a day where the girls were basically "practicing" on each other while Ellen was speaking to them in their language telling them what to do. If you notice, they will usually have these people do your feet/pedicure because you don't see it up close as you do your hands. They may have them do a manicure on you. It's really a shame but if Ellen can't do my feet then I'll continue the have her do my nails and go elsewhere for my feet. This is the second time they messed up my feet, a simply polish was lumpy and all over my cuticles and toes.
These girls are training on you and you're paying them. Who cares about a fake paid for license on the wall when it was bought for $500 to give them permission to work in a spa. These girls clearly weren't trained for months...
Read moreYesterday was my first here. I went in for a gel pedicure. Everyone greeted me and offered me water, which was really nice. The lady who serviced me was an older woman. I was given the color palette to chose from, I told her my preferred colors, she said âno I like the color on your toes now( red)â I said no I would like these specific colors for a design (french- white and off white color) She agreed to the colors, but kept telling me not to get a diagnosis. I realized that maybe she could not do the design and told her to forget it. When I told her she said â thank you , thank you!â And gave me a thumbs up. While applying the nail polish, she had polish on my skin, and missed part of my nail beds. I had to show her part of my nail beds( I also think she could not see properly) since she had glasses on. At the end of the service, she said â I love the color â weird since she was telling me not to get it. Will not be back and I do not recommend. I should have left when I was the only customer during my entire service. ( one lady came...
