Huge waste of space... this “park” was once a natural area which, now, has a garish Christmas tree left up year round and a massive amount of ugly concrete covering up the once-beautiful ground. In addition, the little bit of connecting road that allowed access to the other street and the businesses got closed for this pile of cow manure, making it harder to get to and from Yolanda’s Tacos and Dazbog Coffee. But what more can you expect from a town that lights up a cheap star every Yule season on the top of their highest rock and leaves it constantly lit til the end of the season: another eyesore for CR, the Colorado town that decorates like a Florida trailer...
Read moreNice park, way to small for concert venues. Unfortunately with all the surrounding development it will always remain a small city park, despite its multimillion dollar renovation. Really neat, intimate little park for the smaller venues. Castle Rock outgrew this park way before the updates, a lot of thoughtfulness went into the renovations yet bad planning, on many things, size and the amphitheater overlooking the setting sun, blinding anyone trying to enjoy the concerts. I love Castle Rock, just seems development overrides everything...
Read moreWe ended up here on Father's Day and are so glad we did! We posted up with a little playpen for our kiddo under the gazebo around the picnic tables. We had live music to our left and the Farmers Market to our right. It was fricken awesome! I love the walking paths, definitely bring a stroller!! Being right across the street from the Police Station makes us feel extra safe. It's also awesome being in the middle of downtown Castle Rock as we're a short walk to candy stores, get a drink, as well as some amazing food spots....
